| I hear what you are saying, Lou. Just from browsing this board, it feels like it has been inundated by football (soccer) threads. If you aren’t the biggest fan of the sport, I can see why this would be annoying. However, I understand why this is the case right now, especially coming off the heels of the World Cup. Football is the most popular sport in the world, so it’s brought out a lot of fans to this board. This stuff will eventually die down like it always does. The same thing happens every four years with the Olympics and individual athlete threads. It might not be a personal favorite of yours (it isn't for me at all, personally) but like Kathie said, this happens for other sports and major tournaments, and this is the year of the World Cup, so although it can be overkill for those that don't like the sport, there are many people that do and as long as there aren't duplicated threads on the board, soccer fans are allowed to enjoy their time here at Sports, even more so lately, since it's a heightened time of the World Cup. __________________ "...but I still like to think there is something about Pacey and me that no one can ever quite touch." | |||
