Exactly.
There are always transfers happening but I'd imagine that now that the WC is over and everyone's come home and preparing for the new season, we'll start to hear more about who's going where. There have already been a few pretty interesting ones. __________________

Yes now with the World Cup being over we'll see even more transfers.

We certainly will. For example Brasil’s goalkeeper Alisson went to Liverpool.

I wonder who else will transfer to bigger leagues.

Let's see. (I think Cristiano to Juve will be the biggest transfer. )
I wonder if players in clubs who haven't qualified to the Champions League or the Europa League would like to transfers to clubs that have. __________________

I would agree that one was definitely the biggest.
You never know, I could definitely see players going to teams that qualified for the Champions or Europa league. __________________

Hard to get bigger than that.
Like for example there have been rumors about Hazard and Courtois coming to Real Madrid. Chelsea didn’t qualify for the Champions League (they are in the Europa League though) so they would get to play in the CL if they switched teams. Looks like Hazard is not coming, Courtois still could. __________________

Yes I can't see them getting much bigger than that.
Oh that's interesting. What players are Real Madrid interested in? __________________

I'm not really sure who they are officially interested in but there were lots of talk/rumors about Neymar (yuck), Hazard, Kane and Mbappe after the World Cup. Probably mostly wishful thinking by the fans, Neymar, Kane and Mbappe have been confirmed to stay in their respective clubs for the time being. Like I said Hazard doesn't seem to be coming either but it looks like Courtois could be in the works. But right now it seems there won't be any (other) big signings, for example a striker (to replace Ronaldo

Yeah I remember hearing about the Mbappe rumors during the WC. Neymar is staying for now I thought he wanted to leave PSG very badly. I get fans wanting every player Patriot fans do the same thing every offseason, they want every player to come play for us and it's like they do there's a salary cap right?? I totally get that no one could ever replace Ronaldo!!

There were rumors already after the previous season before PSG signed Mbappe. And I think Neymar still wants to leave but for now he's bound by the contract with PSG and isn't forcing a transfer (which I'm glad to see ). Yeah, fans want everyone but not a half of those become true. Like we've discussed there aren't salary caps in soccer but a club can only spend so much (there are financial fairplay rules). Yep, Ronaldo is irreplaceable!
So, Courtois to Real Madrid happened. I'll talk about it more in the general soccer thread but I'll just say here that now he gets to play in the Champions League (or I assume they'll let him play a lot...) instead of the Europa League. __________________

I didn't know about Mbappe till the WC so I had no idea about that. I'll never understand Neymar and I totally get you not wanting him on your team. He brings too much drama, he's what my mom would call a locker room cancer or a head case. A great player but not worth the drama they'll bring.
That's great for him, I'm sure he'd rather play in the Champions League than the Europa league. __________________

I’ve been watching him in the Champions League for the past two seasons, first in Monaco and then in PSG. And I totally agre with you about Neymar. I dread the day he will probably come to Real Madrid...
I’m sure he will. I just don’t know how they’ll divide the CL duties with him and Navas. About a month to go until the Champions League starts again, by the way! __________________

My mom read something that made it seem pretty likely that Mbappe was going to Real Madrid. I don't blame you for that, Neymar just brings the drama.
Yeah, I'm not sure how they divide thing either. Yay, I can't wait for CL to come back. __________________

I don't think Mbappe is coming this season, I'm pretty sure they confirmed he'll stay at PSG. Yeah, exactly, and we don't need that drama.
I guess we'll wait and see. If they're gonna both be playing in the CL they'll both get less matches that they have been getting up to this point. Me neither! Even though I'll need to pay extra and get the channel that starts showing it from this season forward. __________________
