It's been recently estimated that a roof over Arthur Ashe Stadium would cost between $150,000,000 & $200,000,000. There are plans to knock down the 2nd & 3rd largest courts at the U.S. Open and replace them with seperates stadiums. 1 that will cost $300,000,000.

Here is an update from the early matches at the US Open.
First of all, Rafa defeated Gilles Muller 7-6(1), 6-1, 6-2 and Andy Murray defeated Donald Young 6-2, 6-3, 6-3. We got some craziness in the Andy Roddick-David Ferrer match. The match resumed on Louis Armstrong Stadium, but was suspended after a couple of games due to water seeping into a crack on the court, which the groundstaff tried to clean up. Then Andy went off on referee Brian Earley, which was shown live on ESPN 2, and stormed off the court. A few minutes later, officials decided to move the match to Court 13, where Andy defeated David Ferrer 6-3, 6-4, 3-6, 6-3. Good win for Andy. He did a good job of playing well despite the delays. Also Serena Williams defeated Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova 7-5, 6-1 and John defeated Gilles Simon 7-6(2), 3-6, 7-6(2), 7-6(4). Good win for John, who reaches his first Grand Slam quarterfinal. So that`s the story from the early matches on a sunny day at the US Open. A couple of notable matches are in progress with Nole leading Tipsy 5-3 and Caroline leading Andrea Petkovic 6-1. Coming up later tonight, Fed will take on Jo-Wilfried at Arthur Ashe Stadium. __________________

Here is an update from today`s matches at the US Open.
First of all in the last men`s quarterfinal matches, Andy Murray defeated John 7-5, 6-4, 3-6, 7-6(2) and Rafa crushed Andy Roddick 6-2, 6-1, 6-3. Also Melanie Oudin and Jack Sock won the mixed doubles title. What a great win for Melanie and Jack. It`s great to see two of Team USA`s young guns getting their first Grand Slam titles as pros. So that`s the story from today`s matches. Here is the schedule for Super Saturday. __________________

^ I cannot agree more. I was so scared and nervous. Two sets down and 2 matchpoints down, and somehow Novak believes and does it. Never been so proud of him!

What a great comeback by Nole!
Fed came out with some good play and showed some of the old magic from yesteryear in the first two sets, while Nole struggled in the crucial points. However he got it going in the third set and dominated the fourth set. The fifth set was tight until Fed got the break to take a 4-3 lead. However Nole saved two match points down 3-5, including a nice return on the first match point, to get the break back. From then onward, Nole dominated the rest of the match to come out with the win. I`m really proud of Nole for showing a lot of poise in making a great comeback. Of course this was a pretty tough loss for Fed, who loses his second straight Grand Slam after being up two sets to love. I think that we should applaud Nole and Fed for giving us a great match. So that`s the story from the first men`s semifinal match. The second men`s semifinal and the first women`s semifinal match are in progress with Rafa leading Andy Murray 6-4, 2-2 and Samantha Stosur leading Angelique Kerber 6-3, 1-3. Still to come later tonight, Caroline will take on Serena Williams in the second women`s semifinal match. __________________

For a No. 1 ranked player, Wozniacki just has no game at all. It's almost embarrassing.
