Well I know in the TB, his anger was justified. It was DP's second serve...Some idiot from the crowd shouted OUT causing Roger to refrain from hitting the ball. So the umpire asks the linespeople if they called out and they didn't. So Roger goes up to the umpire to complain about it being unfair as he heard the call 'out' so he didn't hit the ball. Umpire wouldn't budge so Rog asked if he can at least challenge.

He challenges..Roger got it right, it was out... and that was a double fault. But the stupid umpire then decided to count that as a let just because DP came up arguing. it was a freakin double fault! How can he let Roger challenge and then rule against the hawkeye?

What a joke.

Anyhoo...Just read DelPotro's interview..

Quote:
Q. You earned a lot of money today. How are you gonna use this? Are you gonna buy something to treat yourself?

JUAN MARTIN DEL POTRO: No, maybe cheesecake for my birthday.
Thats some lot of cheesecake.

Like I said the old thread, I agree with Roger about the call. But, after hawkeye showed the ball was indeed out, maybe he should have just let it slide? Because, ESPN aren't talking so much about DP shocking win, but how Roger lost the final and his temper. I may not be a fan of Roger anymore, but seeing it played over and over again is beginning to burn.

Anyway, does the next ATP tour swing start the 28th in Asia?

Here is the video of Fed cursing at the chair umpire. I have to say that it was shocking to see Fed doing that. We`re so used to seeing him being so calm in those situations, but i guess it was bound to happen sooner or later much like the racket smashing in Miami earlier this year.

As for the ATP schedule, yes the Asian swing begins on the 28th at Bangkok and Kuala Lumpur. The field for the Thailand Open looks pretty good with Rafa scheduled to play along with Jo-Wilfried, Gilles, Sam, John and Dudi. Plus Fabrice and Marat will be making their farewell appearance in Bangkok. Of course coming up next though will be the Davis Cup semifinals this weekend with Spain taking on Israel and Croatia facing the Czech Republic. Rafa will obviously won`t be playing against Israel due to his recent abdominal injury that he suffered at the US Open. So the Armanda will call on their resurgent veteran, Juan Carlos Ferrero to take Rafa`s spot.

So that`s the latest news. Here are some pics of Juan Del Potro on his victory tour earlier today.

Juan playing a visit to the Today Show,

The Early Show

and Charlie Rose. Plus Juan was also on Regis & Kelly.

Juan doing the obliqatory shoot at the Empire State Building.

That was quite some media whirl.

Anyway, I forgot about the Davis Cup. Yeah, sucks that Rafa won't be able to play, but a 15 millimeter abdominal tear sounds and looked painful. I hope he is healthy enough to go deep in the upcoming tounaments. Now, when Nole confirms his next events, I'll be glad.

I`ve just saw on Nole`s official site that his next event will be the China Open in Shanghai, which starts on October 5.

SI.com's tennis scribe, L. Jon Wertheim, on Twitter: "rt @ TennisChannel According to TV channel RTBF, Justine Henin has ordered 14 racquets tailored to her specifications....hmmmm"

The BBC's Caroline Cheese tweets the same thing: "Belgian media report that Justine Henin will announce her comeback soon. Seles, Capriati, Pierce to follow."

I didn't realize how much I would miss Henin before she left. She's never been my favourite, but the tour badly needs players like her and Kim. Hingis next?

Thanks for the pics!

That vid cuts out the actual swearing part

I cant believe the media is harpin' on it...give me a break It was on one news station and they were doing a poll about it..can't remember the specifics, but damn. Like..Hello?! Do they remember Serena? or are they trying to gloss over Serena..

Fiesty!Roger is Hot.. I like it.

Henin probably is thinking.."Damn, I can come back and win everything, with the state the WTA is at the moment.."

You`re very welcome Catherine.

I also don`t see what the big deal is about Fed cussing in yesterday`s match. This is a prime reason why the media sucks most of the time.

Yeah and Justine could win a tournament almost right away with the sad state of the WTA. It seems like yesterday that it looked like Maria and Ana with their title wins in the Australian Open and French Open respectively were going to battle it out for the #1 spot with the Williams sisters. I really hope that Maria can find a way to get used to her new serving motion and Ana can find a way to get back to the good form she showed last year. I want so badly to see them do well again and restart their quest for world domination.

Also Melanie Oudin was on Ellen earlier today and here is the video of her interview and her and Ellen hitting the court.

For real, it wasn't even that serious! But, I can't tell you all how many times I've seen "Roger Federer's Rant!" today. From ESPN to CNN! I seriously could not believe they'd report that on CNN. And ESPN had a segment on Sportmanship from Roger and Serena, to Kanye West and some stupid congressman interrupting President Obama health care speech! I mean, really! This is so much to do about nothing. And thing is, Roger was right!

As much as the media is making out this, Catherine, I don't think they are trying to gloss over Serena. I heard many a sportcaster and I think even Patrick McEnroe say she should be banned from AO. I don't know if I agree with that, though.

I knew that Henin would be back soon. I bet she couldn't stand the attention and spotlight that Kim has gotten. I've never liked that chick. I hope Kim can continue doing well despite the hype Justine will get when she announces her un-retirement.

Thanks, HotRod, for bringing the Novak news here. I knew he had an official site, but is it in English?

Yes it is in English Chris.

BTW ESPN = *******! Cliff Drysdale is one of the few good things on there along with Coach Ditka and obviously adds some much needed class there. I really wish he would at least tell BG to shut up. While i`m on the subject of Cliffie, here are a couple of pics from his glory days on the tour.

I`ve said it before and i`ll say it again. Cliff Drysdale = class!

You could have predicted that once Clijsters started making noise in the U.S. Open.

And add me to those who think Serena should be suspended for the Australian Open. I don't think doing anything else would even matter to her.

Roger swore in the final, I've seen many players do this, and because it's Roger they make a big deal of it, what about Serena!!
