It really is. Lots of skater can make more money doing ice shows than competing. That's why after the season ends so many of them are doing as many ice shows as they can. The ice shows in Japan especially pay big money.

Yes he did. Alex and Maia made a video of their adventures in Japan which involved Alex playing Mario kart with Javi, Plushenko and Chris Reed. Also Javi and Chris were showing off their ice dancing skills.
