and famous!

The Times called it the most animated eyebrow in men's tennis.

How sad we have to talk about his eyebrows. But tomorrow is his match.

Nadal means business as he mows down Bjorkman | Sport | The Guardian

I was wrong, it's in ALL tennis.

And I was sad about Richie. I watched the whole match; and witnessed how he did honor to his mental midgetism in the 5th set

It is so cute and funny and they are totally right, it is the most animated.
In his spanish blog he said that he and nike are developing the outfit to be more comfortable so it means it is supposed to change anyway

I will certainly watch him on prime time at home with my beloved american commies
I don't think is worthy waking up to watch Karen... this guy is nobody and Rafa won't be 100% yet... I wouldn't.

I was just going to say I decided 'no' LOL. Girls on VB will, but I really am not up for it, even though I've been extremely lazy this holiday filling my days with watching TV and occassionally going out to shop I still feel I need my sleep.

I'll watch Andy against Llodra. 2nd match starting from 11 AM.

what a hard life you have K
I wouldn't. I left my desk so many times in the first match because the opponent was no one and also rafa is still adapting. Maybe I'm a bad fan

Is the added pressure of No.1 getting to Rafa already? The poster you quoted, Karen, was on point. I didn't know how to descrbe the expressions I saw from his practice session yesterday. He's built such a great defense around himself from all the craziness, I'd hate to see it crack now. But being No.1, being the hunted, and yet still, there is the doubt and dealing with the higher expections. I just sense some frustration coming from him.

I just hope that he can make it to QF's. And I also hope that during the down time, that he kills the hard courts of Manacor, comes back (AGAIN) show how much his game has improved!

About his match tomorrow, I'll going to be watching Barack Obama's acceptence speech, so I'll probably not get to see the match. I'll just record it, and hope he wins.

This quote should definitely goes to OP. by Mats Wilander

Hicham from Egypt: Hi Mats. A lot of people say that Rafael Nadal relies on his fitness, but in my opinion he plays a very clever game. What do you think?
Mats: I think that he's probably the cleverest guy on Tour. Of course he relies on his fitness too, but so does everybody else. His fitness starts in his heart more than anything. Of course he's strong, but I'm not sure he's stronger than anybody else, he just wants it more.

"His fitness starts in his heart more than anything."

Gooooooo Weeeeeellllannddderrrrr!!!!!

That was my favorite part of Mats' quote. I also liked Wilander thinking that Rafa is one of the cleaverest guys on tour. I'm not exactly certain what he means by it, though. Does he mean just cleaver as in smart or does he think that Rafa strategizes his appoach to his game? Well, whatever he meant, it sounded nice.

Have y'all ever been jealous of other fans of players? As I looked at the scores of the Roddick match (whom I really am NOT a fan of), I'm jealous of his fans and fans of the other top ten players, that had relatively easy first round matches.

Come on, Rafa! Save you fans fingernails!

And I agree with you, Barbara, I like the red more than the blue. And if he makes it further into the tournament, I would love to see him play in the new outfit. The more I looked at him in it, the more gorgeous I thought he looked in it.

I don't think you're a bad fan. Truth be told, I've never woken up for a non-(semi)final match before in my life.

Same here. But he has to get (probably) past that giant Karlovic first, the one who serves like he's sitting in a tree.

Actually, you remember the pics I posted? He *should've* worn that shirt if it wasn't for the wardrobe mess Nike created. Nike shouldn't have tried to push him into new clothes and should've stuck with the outfit they had planned originally. Now he's back to wearing his US Open Series outfit.

Since Rafa protested against wearing the polo I even like him more. I do not get why they STILL plan to change his signature look. Every little boy (including my 10-year old brother who also plays tennis) wants to look like him, and has wanted that way before he was #1. The whole look is just so appealing to the youth.

Thanks for the pics, btw B. I'm in love with this one:

And I'll add that quote asap.
