| Barb, do you like that Rafa is on Andy Murray's side of the draw? Didn't you prefer Rafa being on Roger's side of the draw? Well, I just hope that Rafa has still got that NADAL magic that could see him through to the semi's. And I'lll pray, pray, pray for him being the last one standing two weeks from onw. | |||

| I think that looks like a good draw for Rafa too, I mean there's no easy draw, he still has Murray, but on the other side there is Nole, Roddick, and I know he probably won't pose that much for a problem but Hewitt too. Fingers crossed Rafa will have a good US Open this year. | |||

| Vicky, there is easy draw, looks at Fed's  Christal I'd prefer, it was my only expectation for the draw because I still think Rafa is the only player in the world that beat Fed on a GS, beating him on SF would help Rafa to get back #1 Almost a new thread, any titles suggestions?!? | Be my guess, Barbara, to open the new thread. I have a monaster migraine, so the only thing I could come up with is "Winning AO, Rafa ushered us into tennis season.....blah, blah, blah. | I like,B! I don't think is provocative and long as it's respectfull, which it is, I don't see the problem. Lets see if the others like it as well. I would love if we were on a brand new thread. Too much bad stuff happened to Rafa during this one. A new thread would be like putting on clean pajamas after a hot bath and then getting under the cool sheets of your bed. | |||

| Aw I love that title idea. It's completely true. He got to #1 by playing the best and beating them. I think some people just fail to put it all into perspective when they look at the rankings. I mean would Federer have won the French Open, and Wimbledon with a fit Nadal playing? Maybe he would have won Wimbledon but I'd say the French would have been unlikely again, I guess we'll never know. But that fact is that Federer's return to form as such, coincided with Nadal's injury and forced time out to heal. Injuries are a part of the game but Nadal got to number one by playing and beating a fit Federer, whereas Federer regained number 1 at a time his main rival wasn't even playing. There is a big difference. I'm not going into the US Open expecting too much. I just want to see him to continue to improve and get back to his old self as quickly as possible. | |||
