VB is shut down because MAC wants to avoid the gloom and doom posts.

Rafa had a similar 'crisis' at the end of 2007 and there was no injury involved, only bad tennis and look how 2008 went.
I am confident, I just think he is stuck in something that is not true. He believes he needs to win first and then be aggressive while it doesn't need to be like this.
He could try and take some risks like he did in his last service game of the match. He will miss some shots but he will make some right as well but he is afraid to try because he believes he is not confident enough to actually make them... he needs to win a title to get over it and maybe DC closes the deal for him

That's so true and I hope DC will help him with his confidence issues.

Yes, that makes sense. Alot of them seems to be panicing. I wish they would calm down. It's two events from the end of the season. There is next season.

That's why I don't get why some of Rafa's fans are so scared. He's been through this before and came out of it. I seriously believe if this continues into next season, then there is something to be concerned about.

Again, he's been through a title drought before. Came out of it, then persided to have the best tennis season of his career. I just have faith he'll come out of this.

I watched Rafa/Nole Olympics match. I think he was standing much closer to the baseline. I know that meters behind the is his comfort zone, but he can't be playing like that as he gets older. This is something I don't get that he doesn't gets.

Let us hope Spain winning the DC well do for Rafael what it did for Nando. But, for Rafa, for it to last all tennis season, like it didn't really for Nando.

We were dangerously close to being off the front page. That should never happen.

Aww..Real Madrid lost. I hope Rafa wasn't too sad. Here you are, Rafael . In other news, Barcelona lost.

IKR?! Crazy happens in CL.

It's going to be quiet around here until Rafa starts on his last few events for the seasons end. I'll miss you guys and the thread, but I can't wait until this season is officially over.

What country is Spain playing in the Davis Cup? I forgot.

Rafa always brings RM bad luck. I wish he'd never show on Santiago Bernabeu anymore. He is such a jinx.

C
Czech Republic.

If Rafa's a jinx for RM, I wished he could go to every one of their games.

The Czech Republic? Oh, okay. I thought I heard something about Spain playing Switerland. Which some people take to mean, Rafael v. Roger (again). Just never in DC, right?

Anyway, have the Spanish players decided where they are even playing?

Spain is playing Switzerland next year, it is the first round of 2010 DC for Spain

It is not the player who decide, but yeah, they already decided for Barcelona in the final. The tie next year against Switzerland wasn't decided yet

Almost off the first page again.

Barbara, I thought the players decided what surface and city they played in. I don't know much about the Davis Cup, so thanks for explaining.

no, the national tennis confederation decides. It is a political decision and the players often prefer to do not even comment.
