Poll of the Day: How Do You Feel About the NHL Lockout?

I used to do this back in the day, and thought it would be fun to bring out again. Like ESPN.com's polls, I will post a question every few days that pertains to a topic in sports. All you need to do is post your answer, without giving reasons behind your choice. If you want to discuss the question or support your answer, feel free to do so. It's not necessary, though. This is a cool way to get to know everyone better and gain a better idea of the overall views at this board. So please join in.

Question: How do you feel about the NHL’s lockout?

A. Disappointed
B. Good riddance!
C. There will be hockey again this season
D. Who cares?
E. Other

D. Who cares?

I hate to say it, but that's my answer. Watching this historic league erode due to terrible leadership, overexpansion, poor labor relations, and questionable rule changes has left me feeling pretty indifferent. That's kind of sad, considering that I used to be a huge hockey fan. Having one of the worst ownership groups in NHL in charge of my favorite team (Chicago Blackhawks) probably doesn't help matters, either.

Well i'm kinda disapointed to not see the Av's this season, but there's still college hockey and we have the defending national champions here in the University of Denver and Colorado College is doing well this season being ranked #5 in the country. So i've been going to college games this season, so i'm not completely missing any hockey.

D. Who cares?

Basically, since I don't watch, or like hockey.

Who Cares

The same thing happened to me when Baseball took their strike. I hate seeing strikes and it always makes me care less about the sport. I still don't really care about Baseball. I heard that a lot of the hockey players were playing in Europe. Hope they like it because I have a feeling this is going to be going on for a while.

What's NHL? Seriously I grew up with hockey as my 1st love. I played street hockey as a kid & was a huge Bruins fan. But now I don't feel anything for the professional sport. I still love the game just not the pro watered down version.

D. The only saving grace last season was that my favorite team overachieved ALOT. Went to the finals and lost. I doubt they'll get there again, so i don't care too much.

Most of the time I don't care. After so many losing seasons in Calgary, I didn't even begin to care for hockey until it looked like the Flames were finally headed back to the playoffs. Then after seeing how much excitment their playoff run generated in the city (and after all the long nights at the Red Mile ), I kinda miss it now.
