Story of the thread

This thread dates back to the 2001 World Series. Before we lost to the Arizona Diamondback -we watched the Playoffs, DJ's awesome plays included

- Yankee fans gathered in the old Request thread to request a Yankee board (how pretentious, huh?)

Of course, we didn't have enough votes to get one so we decided to start our own thread here in the Sports Board.

->26 World Championships... We'll try to do better next century. The thing is though, we love them nonetheless..

not sure wats happening but theyre promoting it for the news tonight so i guess Im gonna watch that to find out wats up...I guess he probably jumped on purpose or something cuz I mean how could he have fallen off u know? Oh well

Yeah, Jacks, apparently he was at the game with a bunch of friends and they were all betting on whether or not the netting would hold his weight, so he jumped. Stupid idiot. Yeah, did he ever stop to consider what would happen if the net didn't hold him?

I hope he does get some kind of punishment, that was just completely stupid. I mean, I'm glad he's okay and it was kinda funny, but still...

So, the Bosux just got completely robbed of a HR. Umps made a really bad call. Hehe

Today's game was frustrating because the WS made so many good plays. If wins weren't so crucial right now, I would be content with it though. The Yanks played extremely well in this series against the best team in baseball. That series was beautiful from every angle in my opinion, what old-time baseball was all about. Good pitching and good defense. There were some very pretty plays by both teams. Moose, Chacon, and Small pitched wonderfully and so did the bullpen for the most part. At least Mo doesn't get a blown save from today.

Well, he had to give up a run eventually, at least it wasn't a save so he can keep his consecutive save streak going.

So, bad news, Pavano's going to be out the rest of the season it looks like. He's got rotator cuff tendonitis and needs at least six weeks rehab/rest and they think that it's very slim that he'll be back this season. Mr. Licks...

My sister's watching the Bosux game.

And she says I'm bad when my team does well...

Here's to Proctor tomorrow.

so I saw the story on the news

They werent as detailed as the website was but they said that he's facing misdeamenor(sp) charges and that his next court appearance is in September....out of all the charges he can face up to as much as 1 year in jail again I say ITIOT! LOL altho he most likely will only get away with like community service...thatd be messed up if he actually had to go to jail
