Sports - NFL Week 16: Pick the Winners (Deadline: Friday, Dec. 24, 3:00 pm EST)

Hey NFL fans!

The "Pick the Winners" game returns for its fifth season at this board. For those who have played before, you know how the drill goes. Newcomers: this is a fun and easy game to play. For each week of the regular season, all you have to do is pick which team you think will win each match-up and then place a point value on that game. For example, there are 16 games in Week 16, and it is your job to allocate points from the game you are most confident in (16 pts.) to the game you view as a toss-up (1 pt.). Therefore, points will be allotted in decreasing value from 16, 15, 14...all the way down to 1. *Remember, you CAN'T place the same point value on more than one game.*

At the end of each week, we will tally up the number of points each participant has earned based on correct predictions, and the person with the most overall points at that time will be crowned winner. We will also keep track of the weekly winners to determine the season champion. Sound simple?

Well they ARE big-time favorites this week. In fact, as of this morning, the big 4 (Stardust, Caesars-Hilton, MGM-Mirage & Station Casinos) all have an 11 point spread for that game, with a 44 point over/under (no money-line has been set yet, though).

Of course the oddsmakers in this town have been going nuts this season, with all of the underdog-wins, and all.

Well I lost last week, and I know yall are disappointed. Its all good though, Im creepin on up the overall standings. im only 4 back on points, which i could easily make up this week.

Yeah, but the Eagles were a dominant team last year, too. Look at the Falcon's record from last season. I've put 16 (or 14, depending upon the number of games played that week) points on them every week. It didn't work 3 times, but they've done well for me, all things considered.

And if St. Louis & Miami win this week, Me & Avatar are gonna look like geniuses. Of course we'll look like idiots if they don't, but hey...GOtta take some chances, right?

Im not sayin Im taking a risk with philly every week (even though this week I am) im just sayin thats how I feel about philly. without the bears representin anytime soon Ive taken a new favorite team over the past few years. doesnt hurt that the star player (McNabb) is a local boy.

btw, 10 on Miami, yeah that is a risk!
