Yeah, Houston signed Mario Williams, giving the Saints all the cards.

I think the Saints should trade down and take either D'Brickashaw Ferguson or A.J. Hawk, since it seems that Reggie Bush could pull an Elway/Eli Manning.

I like the Houston move to a point. They already have a decent running back, but they needed someone to prevent David Carr from being sacked about 265 times a game, so if I were them I would have drafted D'Brickashaw Ferguson, with or without a trade-down.

Also: Ahahahahaha!

Thanks for sharing. Good stuff.

The Titans picking Vince Young was no surprise, though he better start taking notes given the treatment McNair has received latley.

And I'm so incredibly happy for Jay Cutler. He's a great kid, and I hope he proves just how good he really is for Denver.

ETA: I'm not watching, but I wish I could have seen Leinart's face when the #1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, ...picks were made.

Heh, the fans know what is what in NY. They wanted Sapp, who ended up being one of the top 5 DTs in the last 10 years.

Da Bears are trying to get back into my good graces by picking up the best athlete in the draft, Devin Hester, but I'm 95% sure they won't use him correctly. He was on the board as a cornerback? Come on, of the 4 things he does, that is by far the worst role. The best part of Draft Saturday, my boy, Playmaker Irvin arguing with everyone on the panel. Classic.

I was so ready for football season this year now I;m out of it.

I like in Houston and those dumb people just made the biggest mistakes in their lives. They should have picked Bush or Young. Last Sunday and Monday our Houston Chronicle had sports front page articles about who the Texans would pick, Vince Young, Reggie Bush, or Mario Williams.

I was like when did Williams get into the mix, I hadn't heard of him until then.

Vince Young was campaigning so hard. I was at Gallery Furnature the day he was there signing autographs and stuff, I didn't get a chance to get anything signed but I could see him and hear what he was saying and he's really a nice person.

Right after the draft I was in the mall and I heard everyone talking about the draft. The majority of the people were saying that the Texan won't see them in the audience.

Then a number of the said the only reason they picked Mario Williams was because of racism.

Defensive players get no publicity or hype, its all about offense and there is no way the Texans were going to let any black person overshadow David Carr, who is really a sad *** quarterback.

I can't wait for December 10, the Titans vs. the Texans here. Now that will be a game to see. I hope Vince Young cleans the field. The Titans are better since they are the REAL Houston team.

I can understand not taking Bush, the Texans have a good running back. They should have traded down and picked up D'Brickeshaw Ferguson.

9 Hurricanes drafted, not bad. Extended our record for consecutive years with a player drafted in the first round to 12. Biggest disappointment, Orien Harris. He went from a mid 1st rounder to the last picked in round 4. Easily the biggest drop of stock in the draft.

Also, to my delight, Marcus Vick went undrafted. Can't do that many criminal acts and still get drafted. Should have just smoked weed like all the rest.

I still think Houston should have gone with D'Brickashaw, but if Williams is as good as advertised then you can't really fault the Texans for taking him - I don't think Bush is as good as everyone seems to make him out (on that vital 4th-and-1, who did USC go to? LenDale White), and Young's throwing mechanism is as best flawed. I still think Carr can be okay if they let him get some protection and not let him get sacked about 265 times a game - they drafted some linemen, so we'll see. And I think you'll be seeing Billy Volek that day, not Young. How is taking a black DL racist though?

Not completely sold on the Bengals' draft - it was okay, but unsexy, and I would have liked to see a TE at some point. Loved the pick of Reggie McNeal though - it's a Randle-El/Seneca Wallace weapon, and it'll give us even more options.

The Cardinals, once again, had a good draft, but they'll still find some way to mess up, as they are, after all, the Cardinals.

And Marcus Vick got undrafted. Couldn't have happened to a nicer guy.

I'm not a fan of Houston drafting Williams, either. They could have easily traded down a few spots and still gotten him. D'Brickshaw Ferguson probably would have been the smart pick, but I understand why fans are upset that Texans' management didn't go with Bush. This is a guy who has been compared to Gale freakin' Sayers. I know he was before our time, but that is saying a lot! If Bush is truly of that caliber, then he has the potential to be one of the best NFL running backs of all-time. When it comes down to it, would you rather draft based on need or take a chance on a 'special' player? Of course, Bush could turn out to be a bust but all signs point to him being a guy with ability not seen in many, many years.

The Bears' draft was a joke! They traded out of the first round and failed to address their pressing need at TE. Based on their moves, you would think they were a Super Bowl-caliber team. They wish!

I thought Arizona had a very good draft! With Edge, Fitzgerald, Boldin and now Leinart, they have the potential to develop an explosive offense a la the Indianapolis Colts. It should be fun to watch!

Steve McNair has been traded to the Ravens (or as I call them the Ratbirds) for a 4th round pick in the next draft. I think I'm going to Mcvomit.

Who is your team?

And why's every player with the Bengals getting into trouble with the law?
