NFL Pick The Winners 2009 Week 4 Thread(Deadline: SUNDAY, October 4th, 1pm ET)

Welcome to the tenth season of the NFL “Pick the Winners” game here at the Sports board! For those who have played this game before, you know how the drill goes. If you are new to the game, it’s pretty simple. During each week of the season, there will be a thread posted with that week’s slate of games. It is your job to pick the winner of each match-up and place a point value on it. This week there are 14 games on the schedule. You would allocate your points from the game you are most confident in (14 pts.) to the game you view as a toss-up (1 pt.). *You may not place the same point value on more than one game. It should be in decreasing value from 14 to 1.*

At the conclusion of each week, we will add up the total points and crown a “Pick the Winners” champion. Over the course of the season, we will keep a list of the weekly champions and a running point total for each participant. At the end of the season, the person(s) with the highest point total and/or most weekly championships will be crowned the season winner. Sounds pretty simple, right? So, join in! If you have any questions, feel free to ask here.

Remember, you must have your picks posted by the deadline listed, so make sure to double-check to make sure your picks are correct before then.

After Week 3, here's the current season standings:

Shaolin: 334 pts.(36-12)

Chiefs need to win to get their playoff push going, but Giants will be lucky if they get the victory. Might not have Ahmad Bradshaw for that game. You have a ways to go to catch the leader, but can probably do it.

Chiefs playoffs? Playoffs you kidding me? They can't even win a god damn game.

Giants will be lucky if they win? Chiefs will be lucky if they score any points and will be lucky if the Giants don't completely kill them. WTF are you smoking?? Big Deal Bradshaw might not play. Jacobs will and Eli has been playing great. Eagles destroyed KC without Westbrook and McNabb last week I think the Giants will be just fine without their backup running back

With that being said here are my picks for the week:

New York Giants- 14
Indianapolis Colts-13
Chicago Bears- 12
Dallas Cowboys- 11
Buffalo Bills- 10
Cincinnati Bengals- 9
San Francisco 49ers- 8
Houston Texans- 7
Minnesota Vikings- 6
New Orleans Saints- 5
Jacksonville Jaguars- 4
Washington Redskins- 3
San Diego Chargers- 2
New England- 1

I went to the lottery booth at the mall today to see if any of my tickets from Week 3 won me any money. To my surprise, I actually won something (first time this season). I had two $5 bets win me $100 a piece for a total of $200. Not bad. Although, I could have won $2000 on one of the tickets, but a couple of the teams I picked didn't cover the spread. Ah well, an extra $200 in my pocket made my day.
