However, that was followed by a six-run fifth inning in which Hochevar just couldn't stop bleeding. He couldn't make the big pitch when he had to and now has just that one victory to show for his last 11 starts. At least Hochevar has avoided the long ball to a great extent, giving up just two homers in his last seven starts. He has the distinction of pitching the Royals' first game in the new Yankee Stadium.

OMG! I'm still on a game-high

After that ridiculous rain delay where I thought we would NEVER get the game in - that game was worth the wait!

The new Stadium is AWESOME. I like the fact that the Bleachers are no longer separate from everything else and you can actually walk the Stadium no matter where you're seated. I was in the Bleacher with the Creatures and I miss them already. "Box seats suck! Box seats suck!"

I didn't want to leave

That pre-game ceremony reminded me of those year end ones we used to have elementary school.

I liked seeing Tim Raines though. Not as a Yankee, but he should be in the HOF.
