If they're not going to move Hughes back to the rotation like they should, if they think he's a reliever now, they should trade him to Toronto for Halladay. I've hated the pen as much as anyone at times this year, but, with such a gaping hole in the rotation, it's beyond a waste of resources on one inning every three games -- and not even for just this year (since he won't get anywhere near his IP count out of the pen, he'll be extremely limited in all likelihood next season). Just give up the ghost and go all in.

And this Yankees Universe thing so lame. Oy.

It's an All-Star Game do not pitch inside that is ridiculous. He was all over the place and what makes the most mad is that the reason he was all over the place was because he didn't really warm up prior to the game.

He seems fine (unlike when he got Caberera'ed), but things like that are why I'm always against voting for Yankee players.

It's not worth the risk.

Yeah, Girardi has been off his rocker at times this year -- Torre was worse, from Weaver-Gate 'til the end.

His exit wasn't handled well, but I don't miss him at all.

I shall never forgive Torre for not bunting on Schilling in 2004 while he was INJURED. "We don't do things that way." Well, Joe, you're supposed to try and win the damn game!!

Ugh. And let's not forget Weaver or batting A-rod freaking eighth. Or putting Sheff and Matsui back into the lineup and ruining the chemistry when they returned from the DL. The list goes on and on.

Blah, I surely don't miss him at all.

I miss Torre. He made a lot of mistakes and I don't think it was the greatest idea to write that book because I think it stirred up a lot of trouble and was just a point of revenge. Even if it was merited. But I like him a lot more than Girardi.

I think my favorite Torre memory of the 2003-2007 era was the short-lived attempts at playing Ghost of Bernie in RF.

Though I do hold a special place in my heart for the abuse of Scott Proctor as well.

I loved Joe Torre he was the best and I feel it is still bad that we lost him when we could use him now. I hope to see this team back on track this half.

I hope they win the East but to be honest I'll be just as happy if they take the wild card because that is better than how they ended last year.
