Can I point out some hilarity?

Cody Rancid is playing SS tonight (Jeter's DHing) because they sent Pena down, in their own words, to learn how to play the OF... but Pena hasn't played the OF once -- not even for an inning or two -- since being sent down.

Enough with the Joba experiment in the rotation. I can't stand it anymore. And if Bruney can't freaking pitch get him out of there.

Joba in the bullpen, as is, would basically be Brian Bruney. They screwed him up, they have to fix him. Otherwise he's useless everywhere or anywhere they'd put him.

Edit: That said, Joba's post-game interviews make me want to punch him in the face. Good pitch, my ass.

Ugh i know! The Yankees have screwed up big time with Joba. Bullpen, starter, bullpen, starter! They have ruined him! And what the hell is going on with this attitude?! Why is he suddenly in denial?! Ever since Ortiz came out and told Joba to stop head hunting or whatever, Joba hasn't been the same guy in terms of his intimidation factor.

Joba has this sense of entitlement that needs to be nipped in the bud. I wish the Yanks had a good pitcher in the minors that would cause Joba to go back down to the minors so he could FOCUS. Because right now he looks like a spoiled brat who thinks he DESERVES to be wearing a Yankee uniform.

No Joba, you need to earn it. I'm so infuriated right now

I continue to be so glad they "fixed" Hughes only to let him rot in the pen while we endure garbage like today. Thank god we have one set inning roughly every three games locked down! It's such a relief. You guys have no idea how excited I am that we're going to get watch Sergio MILBtre start for this team in crucial games down the stretch too, alongside the mess they've made of Joba and the corpse of Andy Pettitte. I cannot be contained, I'm so... pumped. So amazing, how the Yankees are the smartest team in baseball.

ITA with this! I have been so fed up with Joba and his attitude of 'I'm better than what I really am' His post game interviews make me want to slam his head against the wall until he gets through his thick skull that you need to earn what you get in life it isn't just given to you. He needs to go back down to the minors like you said. The Yankees have inflated his head and now he's out of control and that is Girardi's fault. He should freaking manage to keep people's egos in check. Joba should sometimes listen to someone with more experience and every time I watch him pitch he continually shakes off Posada and Posada has seen a lot more hitters and pitchers than Joba has and he should listen to him more often than not.

These are the repercussions of what happened on Thursday with Aceves. Only the Yankees would be stupid enough to make their effective RELIEVER into a starter instead of calling up a spot starter from the minors. Of COURSE they would waste Aceves when he's been needed in these games. It's no wonder they can never beat the Angels because they can't hold freaking leads! The last games that they have played in Anaheim have all been HIGH scoring games. UGH. And wtf is wrong with Posada and his defense? Letting not one but TWO runners get on base after a strikeout is inexcusable!

Hopefully CC comes out tomorrow and shows everyone why he's a damn Ace. Gotta go into this wretched All Star break with a good feeling.

Ace is just a generic term for good pitcher.

The Yankees could splice the DNA of Pedro Martinez into a Sandy Koufax clone and he'd still fall to the Angels so long as Chone breathes.

We just have to pray the Rangers can somehow take the West.

It's a pipe dream at this point, but I just want them to stop being stupid. No rotating five man OF platoon like Girardi's talking up, no Sergio Mitre starting key games because the 8th INNING MUST BE PROTECTED AT ALL COSTS~!, no Tomko pitching in close games, no more Rancid on the team period. The talent is strong enough they'll make the playoffs at least as the WC if the Brain Trust just put it close to the right holes and get out of the way. Once there, it's a crapshoot of luck and momentum.

Seriously, these next couple of days the organization needs to buckle down and decide what they're going to do and stick with it. Get Cody Ransom off of this team. What good does he do? He can't field and he can't hit. So wtf is he there? Tomko needs to leave asap, this team cannot afford for the bullpen to keep them out of games when the freaking offense scores TEN FREAKING RUNS. That cannot keep happening. This division is too hard and competitive for the Yanks to lose games in this fashion. They better leave Phil right where he is and something needs to be fixed with Joba. They need to talk to this kid because he cannot keep going out there and giving them four to five innings.

Also, can Girardi stop playing around with the lineup? With four days off, why on Earth were Damon and Posada not in there? Especially when they were trying to prevent a sweep?!?!?!? I am confused!

Well, thank god for this break I think it's seriously needed.

Those games with the Angles were awful I couldn't watch them.
