I don't understand why they'd draft a Running Back at least in an early round this year, since they pass the ball more than any other team in the NFL. They do have some interesting Free Agents this year. Mark Brunell & Darren Sharper are Unrestricted Free Agents while Lance Moore & Pierre Thomas are some of the Restricted ones. I expect the Saints to Re-sign all of those players.

They can get rid of Brunell. He's not the same QB he was when he was with Jacksonville and Washington.

Yes he's older, but also my favorite player on the Saints, so hope he stays around. According to whodatdish.com the Saints have agreed to trade Reggie Bush to the Seahawks for their 14th pick in this month's draft & DE Lawrence Jackson. That's the only site I've read about it on, so it could have been an April Fool's joke.

That probably was an April Fool's joke.
The only Saints news lately was Jamal Lewis' visit. __________________

And I fell for it. Oh well. I'd get to see Reggie play much more if he were on the Seahawks, but glad for him he gets to stick around in New Orleans & hopefully get back to the Super Bowl.

The Saints signed former Bears DE Alex Brown to a 2 year deal today.

I haven't seen him play much. Mark Brunell has visited the Jets. Can't believe the Saints would let him go.

Brown was a good signing and a big upgrade from Charles Grant, since he's good at stopping the run(which, admittedly was a big problem for the Saints last season) and in his 8 years with the Bears he had 43 1/2 sacks, 4th in Bears history behind Richard Dent, Dan Hampton, and Steve "Never mind that *******, here comes Mongo" McMichael(I had to get a Botchamania reference in there).
Brunell probably felt like he got his ring, and if he ends up with the Jets(it's possible they'll sign Jason Taylor instead, as the Jets can only sign an unrestricted free agent if they lose one to another team), he'll mentor Mark Sanchez. __________________

He should get more time to play there then. Who should Charles Grant play for?

Congrats to Drew Brees for getting on the cover of Madden NFL 11. At cbssports.com it has been predicted that Drew Brees stats this year should be ''73 touchdown passes, 4 interceptions, 5728 passing yards, completing 582 passes out of 710 attempts, while rushing for 700 yards & 12 more touchdowns.'' Drew would have to average more than 4 touchdown passes a game to throw 73 this year.

The Saints' 1st round pick is Florida State CB Patrick Robinson.

I'm not familiar with any of those players except Sean Canfield, since he went to OSU. Hope he makes the Saints roster. I was wondering, do you hope that the Saints sign T.O., if they haven't & don't re-sign Lance Moore? He would be good pickup.
