He had an incredible free skate.
He didn't medal, but I was so proud of him and getting over a disastrous start earlier this week. __________________

Nathan did such an amazing job. He was able to pick himself after such a disappointing short program.

Yep I think the pressure was too much for him. I didn't think it helped in the short program going right after Yuzuru. But it was like once the pressure was off he could relax and do his thing.

For sure. Before the Olympics, everyone was calling him the golden boy.. I imagine that's a lot of pressure for a teenager who had never been to the Olympics.
If he had done well in the short, I imagine he probably wouldn't have done that 6th quad? I think we saw that amazing free skate because he felt like he just might as well try it. Nothing else to lose. __________________

Yes I think if he had done well in the short he probably wouldn't have gone for that 6th quad. I'm sure he'll always wonder what could have been if he skated well in the free skate.

Yes he will. It will be interesting seeing how he responds going forward. I believe he'll be competing at Worlds next month.
