Yeah, the horrors of that That must be some seasons ago cos Biaggi was wearing the Marlboro suit and Rossi was still with that Nastro Azzurro beer sponsor . I think it was when they have that "making up" session with interviews and press conference, after the incident where Biaggi streared Rossi off the track in a reckless manner and the latter told him off after the race. During that session both of them happily smiled at the camera saying that they have 'nothing against each other no more'. But I doubt they'll mean it at heart It can never happen

Good to see both Rossi and Capirossi on the podium again

Oh I heard Pogialli won :/ Didn't get to watch that race cos I was out tutoring...and I only managed to see the final few laps of Motogp race...

<--goes to check for rerun timings...

I'm pouting - not a Spaniard in sight on the podium

But it was good to see two of the guys there and Fonsi and Pedrosa got to the podium too at least

and yep, old pic - I noticed the old clothes too - it was just too good to miss *G*

Wee!! Catalunian GP is so bloody exciting!

125cc - a Spaniard won (Pedrosa) . Good fight in the last three laps. And Kallio finished 8th Too bad for Pablo NIeto though..

250cc - a very close call. Fonsi could've been the winner, and slight mistake in the end cost him the first spot But, 2nd place isn't too bad

Motogp - Rossi made a very big mistake, and goes onto the gravel with 8 laps remaining , and he fought hard to come in 2nd place behind Capirossi It's been a while since I've seen him race like that (ahh, good old memories of 2000 ) He set a record breaker in Catalunia twice in the same race! And what's better, Biaggi crashed out in the second-last lap

Here's the full result:

Motogp result
250cc result
125cc result

Yeha, the races were good .

Pedrosa winning and Kallio getting points

Nieto I a bit sad for, but yeah, 2nd isn't that bad.

True, true - it was great as he really had to work again and it was good to see Capirossi not have a bad day . Biaggi? Mwuhaha

No win for Rossi in the end . He got that pen and ended up droppeing to

Barbera and Nieto winning . Two Spaniards winning and one second/third place isn't too bad at all . Kallio didn't do bad either - 7th . And Checa 6th was nice since he's had so much trouble this season .

Perugini lost all his points though . Okay, so it wasn't exactly only his faul, but still *craves thumbs down smiie*

Here you go:

Quote:
Motorcyclenews.com:

The MotoGP Race Direction has penalized Repsol Honda's Valentino Rossi 10 seconds for passing under yellow flags in today's British GP, dropping the World Champion from first to third in the final results.

Rossi's penalty gave the victory to Camel Honda's Max Biaggi with Telefonica MoviStar Honda's Sete Gibernau moving to second.

According to race direction, Rossi made a pass after fellow Honda rider Tohru Ukawa had crashed in the opening lap and the yellow flags were out.

Instead of losing ground to Rossi in the championship, Gibernau and Rossi actually have gained ground. Rossi leads the way with 167 points to Gibernau's 133. Biaggi has 130.

Poor Barros

Thanks for the article/info, T

I guess I won't mind much as long as it doesn't affect his championship points

Hey Jens, thanks for reviving the thread

Yep, he will be on a Yamaha next year . I guess he has a point to prove - that he wins not just because he rode a strong and powerful machine such as the Honda, but to show that he can do the same on a Yamaha Too bad he's gonna miss his old crew...Doohan, Burgess, et al..

Anyway, I was actually hoping he'll move on to a Ducati ...

Any idea who'll his teammate will be?

Sorry Sara I lost the threat for a time.

Yeah that he miss his old friends from Honda is a pity!
He's new teammate is Carlos Checa. I think they are good together. Now I have two of my personal top-drivers in one team. Great!

By the way what are your favorite drivers?

Hmm I have the feeling there are no many people in this forum where interested in MotoGP.
