What do you mean?

Good question.

Well from a participating view hockey would be I guess the most expensive to play in part because of all the equipment needed to buy.

Figure skating is certainly up there - you're not just paying for skates but coaching, choreography and costumes.

True.

F1

If you mean cost to participtate, then F1 is very costly to develop the state of the art cars, the cost to enter the sport, travel the world, pay staff etc.The top teams spend tens of millions each year but they do get some money back from the sport.Prize money etc

That too.

NFL would be the most expensive from the teams perspective . Most players active than any other pro sport . Huge salaries , coaching staffs equipment . As a huge pro hockey fan , they too have a lot of equipment with the uniform , breaking hundreds of sticks a season .

Let's take the owners out of the equation, really most of them only write the big checks anyways. Let's say me, as an individual, would like to participate in a sport. Not really on a "Pro" level. Consider maybe golf.... a really good set of clubs alone could cost a grand. Bowling, you'll need a ball to attack several oils and a go to spare ball. Nevermind league dues, entry fees to local, state, regional, and national tournaments. I would say bowling.
