I'm not, I'm just saying he's not really comparable to Kerry Wood. But who knows, he could pitch the game of his life...they both could.

He's one of my favorite rappers. I especially love him working with Method Man. Who is one of my favorites as well, a great combo that was destined to happen.

You so funny.

No, I wasn't saying it like that. I know you guys were just saying Kid K is better and all. But Redman can be a tough cookie to swallow. We'll find out today.

Redman is nice, the whole staff is. Injuries knocked out a few of them, otherwise they would have challenged the Braves for the division.

no comparison? Just as muchhype for Pavano as there was for Prior. Pavano was pretty much traded for the Greatest Pitcher of all time, straight up!

In terms of talent, no comparison.

If Pavano was *that* good, he would not have been relegated to the bullpen for most of the postseason. Just sayin'.

In terms of hype, Prior was more heralded. Many even acknowledged him as the best college pitch ever. As hyped as he was, nothing compares to the Kerry Wood media circus of '98.

Wow! Where the hell have you been?

You had to hear of Prior's name during the '01 MLB draft. All the scouts drooled over him coming out of USC. Minnesota couldn't afford his agent's asking price, so they took a HS phenom catcher instead.

That pick worked out great for Cubs fans.

Prior wasn't in the minor leagues that long. So, if you didn't follow college baseball or had your head in the sand , you wouldn't have known much about him.

Not much into college, all i know is Miami is the best there too

Minors, i used to be all up on it, like Majorly. But since i went into the army, i haven't. If i did hear about him, it was nothign more than just another hot shot rookie.

I never really go on boards to talk much, but I have to share my grief with some people. I am a huge Cub fan and will do anything to win tonight.

Quote:
You can gripe about the guy messing with the foul ball, but what really killed the Cubs was the error by Gonzalez (I think he was the one playing short then) If he fields that cleanly he gets the lead runner at 2nd and you have a runner on first with 2 outs.
Well, I believe the reason Gonzo didn't make that play was because he was rattled up about the questionable fan interference. If Alou would have made that catch, there would have been 2 outs and Gonzo would have not had to charge that ball to get a DP. Just my opinion though.

Anyways....I wish I could be at the game tonight, and I really hope they win. I was really depressed last night and cannot go to school like that tomorrow. So I wish the Cubs the best of luck!!!!!!!!

Go Cubs!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, let's see if they can hold it...

With the way this game is going, ahh, I don't know.
