I have this feeling, whoever wins, will win it in 4-5 games.

Eitehr Boston will be gunned up and ready to smoke the Cards, or they will have thought beating NY was the WS and not have the heart and desire to finish.

The Yankees didn't need to go after A-Rod last winter, but they ended up with him.
The Yankees went after A-Rod to block Boston from getting him. End of story. It was the proverbial 'whipping it out and comparing it.'

Yay, for the Cardinals! And congrats to Dobs and all the other Cards fans 'round here.

Sox/Cards...GREAT match up. The two most powerful offenses in baseball go head to head. Not to mention both the Sox and the Cards have very passionate fanbases. These games should be electric.

This WS is gonna rock. And NOT just because the Cards are in it. These teams are pretty similar, they both have great fans and it's gonna come down to the wire. I really think it's going to go 7 games.

Pujols said it in his post game interview. Clemens was throwing nothing but fastballs and he was prepared for it during his 3rd at bat. Garner made moves all post season that didn't make a whole lot of sense. I really thought he should have been trying to bunt to move runners along last night to get runs. When you're in a must-win situation you gotta do whatever you can to get runners home. Which is odd because Garner has been known in the past for being that kind of scrappy manager.

I don't think anyone's mentioned it yet, but how about Tony Womack last night. Gutsy gutsy preformance. He was obviously in pain and he still was out there stretching singles into doubles and making sliding catches. Hope he can rest up today and be completely healthy for Saturday's game.

I'm assuming Woody will go game 1. Then, Marquis, Morris, Suppan. Haven't read that anywhere, but based on the rest those guys will have...that rotation makes the most sense.

Heh...Rick Ankiel is more than likely going to be added to the Cards WS roster today since Kline is hurt and they're down to Ray King as their only LH pitcher. That could be interesting.

RED SOX vs CARDINALS

Rematch of the '67 WS aka the "impossible dream" season for Sox fans. This year's Sox have also pulled of the impossible by coming back from an 0-3 deficit to NY. Do they have anything left in the tank to beat the best team in baseball? I have serious doubts, but I am hopeful that game 7 of the ALCS was a glimpse of things to come. B/C it will likely take an offenisve explosion from the boys from Boston to overcome the likes of Pujols, Rolen & Edmonds. I believe the Sox have the edge in pitching but with the way they had to battle in the ALCS that may be a wash. I'm expecting it to go 7 so like Chris said it will probably be a sweep 1 way or the other.

Will Ortiz play 1st base in St. Louis? How long has it been since he's played?

That was an amazing game last night. Both teams fought until the very end.

blueschild007: I hope your Cards win. But it doesn't look too good for them right now. Go Pujols, Renteria, Walker, and everyone else! Hehe.. Sorry.. I'm not so familiar with the Cardinals.

Heck, I can name every Red Sock and sometimes I fool myself and think I'm a Red Sox fan. It's just that I've seen them quite a lot in two years plus the post season, so I pretty much know their line up up and down. But of course, I know the Yankees much better.
