Pujols is going nuts this season. Man-Ram just hit his first two homers of the year last night and Pedro will win the Cy in the NL. That is all.

the cardinals always seem to play well each year, that team has got it together. i wish the kansas city royals could do just as well but i don't think that will happen anytime soon.

They just took a couple in a row from the Tribe to double their win count... and I can't name 3 players from the team.

Can I just express my hatred of the "Coolflo" helmets half the league is sporting this season?

Straight-up hideous.

I don't know if this is the right place to ask this...but didn't we used to have a RedSox discussion thread?

My buddy likes them... though he as only seen the Mets version, which isn't that bad as you can't really see it.

Speaking of which, we survived a bomb by Bonds off Wags in the 9th.

Yes we did have a Sox thread, alot of threads were lost in the month long FF drought. So threads were resurrected with 3 posts but 4000 views. Start up a new one. I was about to start up a Mets thread again.

Allowed, heh. The mod might be a yankee, but she is fair.

Being a Yankee fan predisposes me to fairness. And yes, you guys can have a thread for any team you want.

Edit: The only time I'll ever even semi-root for a Mets pitcher and one just has to give up another homer to a barely one-legged, supposedly de-juiced Bonds tonight? Typical.

Dude, the day Delmon Young gets a 50 game suspension for throwing his bat at an umpire, Bernie Williams delibrately throws his helmet at an ump? He should get at least a 10 game suspension for that. That was uncalled for and very unprofessional for someone like him.

He didn't throw it at him intentionally. He chucked it in frustration to his side, without looking, and it landed near the umpire. At worst, that should be three games. Maybe five.

However, if MLB wants to suspend him for 10 games, I'm totally fine with it. It would suck for Bernie, but I'm all about taking the decision to over-play him at the expense of the team completely out of Torre's hands...

I hate the Yanks, but I'm actually glad to see Moose pitching like he is suppose to. This was the Mussina I feared when he left Baltimore for NY. Should be a great game tonight between Mike Mussina and Curt Schilling.

Bernie was 0-3 with 3 K's in last nights game, I can see the frustration. He should just retire. I hate seeing good players fade away, instead of retiring with a little something left.

Moose held up his end of the deal, with a gritty, solid performance at least.

I do think Bernie could still somewhat contribute as an occasional DH against lefties, but Joe refuses to accept that he's simply no longer good enough to play any position in the field or hit right handed pitching on a ML level. Which is a huge problem, much like his so far ridiculous overuse of Ten-Run Sturtze.
