| maxwell scherer the nr6 off inter milan  hello and welcome here we can talk about inter,s new soccer playe maxwell scherer -nr6 he came this summer from ajax amsterdam Name: Maxwell Scherer Cabelino Andrade (Maxwell) Born: Vila Velha, Brazil Nationality: Brazil Position: Defender Left DOB: 27/8/1981 Current Club: Ajax Amsterdam Brazilian leftback Maxwell Andrade (Maxwell), was signed by Ajax in 2001 from Cruzeiro at the age of 19. In 2003-04, Maxwell was voted Player of the Year in Holland, and was seen as indespensible at Ajax, who had signed an extended contract through to 2006. In 2005, Maxwell rejected a one year extension, and was all set to be transferred out of Ajax, with many European clubs interested, including Chelsea, Barcelona and Inter Milan. However on April 21st, in the Amstel Cup semi-finals against Willem II, Maxwell avoided a tackle by jumping, but landed awkwardly with his right knee twisting. It turned out that he had a cruciate ligament snapped, which puts him out for 8 months before any chance of coming back on the field for Ajax or any other club. This came at a bad time for Maxwell and for Ajax, as Ajax were looking to sell the defender rather than lose him to a free transfer in 2006, but no club would be interested in an injured player, especially after Real Madrid's Jonathan Woodgate fiasco.
