I also love Alona`s nosering. It`s a great look for her.

As for Dani, i`m starting to lean toward her shutting it down until the grass court season. I think it`s likely that she will be back by the French Open, but i don`t expect any good runs for Dani anytime soon. I hope she`ll make the best decision possible.

BTW i`ve just found out that ESPN 360 will be the showing the matches on center court tomorrow in Berlin, which means that we get to see the Makiri-Jelena match and then Ana`s match.

Here`s the latest update from Berlin.

First of all in the latest all hotties matchup, Jelena defeated Makiri 6-2, 6-4. Good win there for Jelena.

I`m surprised that she won in a more convincing manner. As for Makiri, it`s obvious that she didn`t have it today.

It was a good run while it lasted for her.

Meanwhile Ana had a pretty tough match against Sybille Bammer afterwards, but she managed to pull out a 7-5, 4-6. 6-4. Good win for Ana.

She didn`t play her best match, but responded well under the pressure of this tough match.

Also Alona pulled off a big upset with a 1-6, 6-2, 6-2 win over Svetlana Kuznetsova. Great win for Alona.

She rebounded very nicely after the first set. This is the type of win that will greatly boost Alona`s confidence. Later on she and Kat won their doubles match. While i`m on the subject of doubles, Elena and Dinara Safina also won their match today. Good win for them.

So in all it was a very good day for some of our favorite hotties. Tomorrow will have the singles quarterfinals and a couple of matches in the doubles quarterfinals. Alona will play in the first match of the day against Victoria Azarenka. Later on Jelena will take on Elena Dementieva and then Ana will go up against Agnes Szavay. In the doubles matches, the Bondarenko sisters will take on Victoria Azarenka and Shahar Peer and then Elena and Dinara Safina will go up against Kveta Peschke and Rennae Stubbs. As always i hope that our favorite ladies will do well tomorrow.

In other news, more bad news for Tati. I`ve just gotten word that it looks like she rushed back too soon and now she likely will miss Rome and the French Open. Man some people really has bad karma and Tati is one of them with all the injuries she has been suffering. What makes it so bad is that she`ll miss the French Open again.

I hope that she`ll take her time coming back and come back strong by the grass court season.

Alona got crushed in straight sets today 6-7, 2-6. Also Jelena lost in 3 sets to Dementieva. On the bright side, Serena lost to Safina in a close 3rd set. That upset would have been nice, if not for the loss of two from the hottie squad

Well it was a tough day for our remaining hotties in Berlin today.

In the first match of the day, Alona was defeated by Victoria Azarenka 6-7(2), 2-6. Alona`s serve was a disaster for much of the match. Victoria has really been playing very well lately. I think she might`ve gotten some karma and some advice after partying with Masha, Anna, Domi and Elena in Miami. Of course Alona and Victoria would play each other again a little later in doubles, where Victoria and Shahar Peer beat Alona and Kat 6-1, 7-5. I know Alona must be tired of seeing Victoria after today.

Also in doubles, Elena and Dinara Safina lost their quarterfinal match to Kveta Peschke and Rennae Stubbs 6-4, 3-6, 8-10. Tough loss for Team Russia`s dynamic duo.

Back in singles, Jelena was defeated by Elena Dementieva 3-6, 6-2, 3-6. After that match, Ana went up against Agnes Szavay and split the first two sets 3-6, 6-4. Play was suspended after the second set ended due to darkness. Ana was having a lot of trouble with her serve for much of the match. Hopefully she can get it together for the third set tomorrow morning. Of course it`s going to be very tough for her even if she wins, because then she`ll likely have to play her semifinal match later on. Still i hope that Ana will play hard and do her best tomorrow.

Yes they do, mainly with their hair during the matches.

I had forgot to mention Dinara Safina`s upset win over Serena Williams. Great win for her. She has really played well in Berlin, especially in her last two matches where he defeated our hotties` two biggest nemesises, Justine Henin and Serena Williams.

While it`s nice to see one of our hotties` associates scoring a big win, today is still marred by Alona and Jelena losing.

Hopefully Ana can somehow keep her quest for a repeat title alive tomorrow.

Eariler today Ana played the third set of her match against Agnes Szavay that was suspended due to darkness yesterday and she won the set and match 6-3. Good job by Ana to pick up where she left off to get the win.

Then she had to play Elena Dementieva in the semifinals, where unfortunately she was defeated 2-6, 5-7.

In a way i`m not surprised that this happened, since it was asking a lot for Ana to win two matches in a day and for some reason she has never matched up well against Elena Dementieva, which i find pretty quirky, especially Masha for the most part has beaten up on Dementieva. I guess it`s one of those quirks in the game. So Ana`s quest to repeat is now over with and there won`t be another hottie title win in Berlin.

With the last of our favorite hotties out in Berlin, it`s time to turn the focus to the next tournament in Rome next week, which will feature the return of Masha. The first round of qualifying is underway. Alize and Iveta won their matches in straight sets. Good job by those two.

Elena is currently playing her first round qualifying match against Alla Kudryavtseva and she`s up 6-3, 5-0. Good start there for Elena.

Hopefully she can win this last game as quickly as possible. It would be nice to see her, Alize and Iveta get in the tournament along with the main hotties like Masha, Ana, Jelena and Flavia.

I`ll be back later with the draw for the Internazionali BNL D`Italia, which was released eariler today. In the meantime, here are some pics from Ana`s matches.

Interesting looking draw. I`m pleased to see most of our favorite hotties spread out more in the draw than in Berlin. I think that Masha`s first match could be a tough one, especially since Domi gave her a tough match in the finals at Amelia Island and Gisela Dulko is a good clay court player as evident by her wins over Nikki and Caroline eariler this week. Speaking of Nikki and Caroline, i see that they`re in the same section with Masha. They both have tough first round matches against Sybille Bammer and Tamira Paszek respectively. I hope that they can get it going in those matches so that they can meet up in the second round. On the other side of the draw, Ana`s section looks favorable early on, but could get pretty tough right away with a potential third round match against either Dinara Safina or Victoria Azarenka. If she can get by that match, then Ana has a good chance of making a nice run. Anna`s section looks very tricky, especially if she has to play Tathiana Garbin in the second round. Even if she can win that match, then she`ll likely have to play the always cute, but dangerous Aggie in the third round. With the way she has been playing lately, i hope that Anna can get a win in Rome. Alona`s section looks pretty tough, starting with her first round match against hometown favorite Mara Santangelo. If she can win that match, then looming in the second round is Serena Williams.

Obviously that will be a very tough match, but at the same time Alona has a chance in that match since Serena is most vulernable on the red clay as evident by her match against Dinara Safina yesterday. Vera Z has a favorable looking section early on, but then she could likely meet up with Venus Williams in the third round. Normally this would be very brutal, but Venus is even more vulernable on the red clay and is just coming back after a long layoff. So Vera has a good chance of making a nice run. Finally we have another hotties filled section with Makiri, Jelena and Flavia. Makiri has a very intriguing first round match against Amelie Mauresmo. Obviously Makiri hasn`t fared well against her, but i think that she has a good chance of finally getting her first win against Mauresmo, who has struggled for much of the year and is just coming back from a recent injury. Flavia also has an intriguing first round match against Katarina Strebotnik. Hopefully Flavia can get energized playing in front of the hometown in that match. If she can win it, then she`ll meet up with Jelena in the second round. I really hope that all of our favorite hotties will do well in Rome next week. It would be great to see Masha and Ana meet up in the finals.

I'm hoping Alona can pull a 2nd round upset over Serena, that'd make my day.

I'm also hoping that Masha doesn't overlook Domi in round 2, that could trip her up if she doesn't stay focused.

I was worried that you wouldn`t be back. I`m sure you`re going to be following Ana closely on how she does in Rome.

Hey Chris lets not pencil in Domi in the second round yet. Like i`ve said eariler, she has a tough match in the first round against Gisela Dulko. Hopefully Domi can get it back going in that match.

There`s some change in the draw as Amelie Mauresmo pulled out of the tournament due to her rib injury. So that means Makiri will have a rematch against Nadia Petrova in her first round match. Hopefully she can play as well as she did in their previous meeting.

Meanwhile the final round of qualifying were today. Elena, Iveta and Alize all won their matches, which means that they will be in the tournament. Great job by those three of making the show.

Hopefully with the right place in the draw, they can get a win or two.

First of all i have to say that the Bondarenko sisters got a tough draw. With the tough team of Peng and Sun likely looming in the second round. If even they win that match, then they`ll likely face the top ranked team of Cara Black and Liesel Huber. Still i`m holding out a glimmer of hope that Alona and Kat can make a nice run. Also i see that Anna and Nikki will be teaming up. They obviously make for a very hot team, but at the same time i think that they would be entertaining to watch, given how hot tempered they both are. I hope that they`ll play hard, have some fun and try not to have a major meltdown during their match. In fact i hope some of our favorite ladies that will be playing doubles will play hard and do well this week in Rome.

Action got underway in Rome today.

First of all Vera Z started out the day with a 6-3, 6-3 victory over Ai Sugiyama and then Caroline routed Tamira Paszek 6-3, 6-0. Very good showing from them, especially Caroline.

Also Alona routed hometown favorite Mara Santangelo 6-2, 6-2. Good win there for Alona.

We got our first all hotties matchup of the tournament, which was between Elena and Iveta. Iveta came out with the win 6-3, 7-5. I have mixed emotions about this match. While i`m happy to see Iveta get the win

, i`m also sad for Elena.

I wish that the organizers wouldn`t had them play each other. I`m all for all hotties matches, but it`s not fair to either of the ladies, who had to qualify just to get in the tournament, but that`s the way things work out sometimes.

Meanwhile in doubles, Anna and Nikki sadly lost their first round match today. From what i saw following the match a bit on the live scoreboard, they made a respectable showing. Hopefully they`ll team up some more, because i think that they make for a very lovely and entertaining team, given their feisty attitudes.

So that`s the story with the first day of action in Rome. Tomorrow we`ll get to see a few more of the hotties in action. Makiri will play in the first match of the day against Nadia Petrova. Then in a few minutes after that match is over with, Flavia will take on Katarina Strebotnik. Also Domi will go up against Gisela Dulko, Alize will play Vera Dushevina, Kat will go up against Tathiana Garbin and Nikki will take on Ekaterina Makarova instead of Sybille Bammer due to some changes in the draw after a recent withdrawal. Then later on in the evening match, Alona will take on Serena Williams. Obviously this will be a very tough match for Alona, but like i`ve said eariler, Alona has a chance with it being played on the red clay. I wish all of our favorite ladies nothing but the best and hope they do well tomorrow.

Not much action in Rome today due to the rain over there. Domi was one of the few to play a completed match. She defeated Gisela Dulko 7-6(1), 6-4. Very good win there for Domi.

Meanwhile Makiri and Nikki were playing when the rains came. Makiri had split the first two sets in her rematch with Nadia Petrova 3-6, 7-5 and was up 2-1 in the third set, while Nikki lost the first set in her match against Ekaterina Makarova 4-6 was up 2-1 in the second set when play was suspended. They`ll be back on the court tomorrow morning to complete their matches. Hopefully they can pull through with wins in them.

Also tomorrow Masha makes her return later in the evening over there against Domi in a rematch of the finals in Amelia Island. Meanwhile in the afternoon sesson, Ana will take on Tsvetana Pironkova. Then after that match, Alona will play Serena Williams. Then Jelena will take on the winner of the match between Flavia and Olga Savchuk, who will play their match in the morning. Also Kat will play Tathiana Garbin, with the winner of that match to play Anna later in the day. Before that match, Caroline will take on the winner of the match between Nikki and Ekaterina Makarova. Alize will play Vera Dushevina, with the winner of that match to play Francesca Schiavone later in the day. Then after that match, we`ll have another all hotties matchup as Vera Z will take on Iveta. Meanwhile in doubles, the Bonderenko sisters, Makiri, Iveta and Caroline will play their first round matches. I hope that our favorite hotties will do well tomorrow and somehow make it in what will be a busy day for most of them. Hopefully the rain will stay away long enough so that they can get their matches in.
