Maria's through to R2 but it wasn't easy
 seemed like a solid win until 5-1 in the 2nd set where Maria was unable to close the match out and it went to a TB. good thing she could still pull through in straight setsCirstea is next. __________________

While i'm glad that Maria was able to win the match in straight sets, it was concerning to see her not able to finish the match sooner and lose some energy. Obviously there is some work for her and the team to do before the next match.

I agree that I'm glad Maria won the match but she definitely has stuff to work on. She let her opponent back in the get back in the 2nd set. Hope she works on those issues going on.

Lucky win for Maria, but she cannot be happy about how she played. It was not good. She must improve as her matches goes on if she wants to continue on in the tournament.

she sure can't lean back, her form's not the best right now
 apparently she has a tape under her wristband, so she's not a 100% healthy either__________________

well, it was quite a battle
 it started so weird, Maria hit so many doubles but still held her serves and won the 1st set kinda easily. Sori wasn't able to take her chances at all plus she wasted all her challenges in like the first game but set 2 made me think it was gonna go to a 3rd for so long, Sori did a much better job for a while but the fight Maria put on at the end of that set, those were easily the best games of the whole match  so her game's still not near flawless but if she can still hold on, it should be enough for a while  Ostapenko's next which won't be easy either. hope she can handle it __________________
