I watch hockey, Tiger Woods. And I find it 2039203 times more interesting than golf.

I also agree that Detroit has a slight edge, but I still have faith in the Penguins!

By the way it stands, Detriot most likely will win it. I find that kind of boring.
My team didnt make it to the playoffs and theres no Canadian team left, so for the most part, whoever wins...I dont really care.

I do love that the Pens arent backing down though. They are still in it. Working hard and getting the win. If Detriot wins it, at least they had to fight for it.

If Pittsburgh wins... Awesome!!!

Boring indeed. Detroit have like a 1 to 5 chance of winning, while the Penguins have a 1 to 1, 000 chance of winning it. It's always much more entertaining when a unexpected team wins.

Detroit reminds me of the 1980 USSR team. They're even wearing red too.

LOL

It sucks but the Red Wings are Stanley Cup champions. I was hoping that the Penguins could pull off the big comeback.

They came really close at the end though. That probably makes it worse for them I suppose. The third goal for Detroit was brutal, as in..way unlucky for the Pens..

But congrats to Detroit!

Congrats, Detroit. They were a very very good team and deserved it, I think.

Is this the outcome I wanted? No. Is it deserved? Yes.

I was there and stayed through most of the ceremony. Major props to the Red Wings for applauding the Penguins as they left the ice.

I'm glad the Wings won. I predicted it would be a long series w/a Red Wing win....so not too shocking for me. Congrats Wings, especially Rafalski...good d-man, good guy.....former DEVIL who worked his ass off when he played.

Anyways, Chelios pissed me off...second person on the ice to celebrate and he didn't even break a sweat. Sorry...that bugs, he need to retire.

He can celebrate all he wants, I'm not sure he's getting his name on that Cup If I remember correctly, you need to play in at least one Stanley Cup final game, he didn't. Hopefully for him, I'm wrong, but I remember that Carolina made Eric Cole play against Edmonton so his name would be on the Cup if they won it.

Anyways, not the team I wanted to win, but at least they gave us a few last good games. This win might finally make a few "experts" shut up for good about Europeans not being able to win the big games. Detroit had the most europeans of a winning cup team and the first euro captain to win it too.

I was so happy that Detroit won I admit it, I teared up when I was watching the players with their families. I have to say that Draper has the cutest son. I loved seeing them with their kids. Dan Cleary's daughter was so cute.

I was so happy for Rafalski. He deserved it. It's good to see former Devils win the cup...except for Gomez.

I was happy that Hank won the Conn Smythe.

I was so scared when there was like 5 seconds left and the goal almost went in. I had a heart attack. I saw the third goal that Fleury let in. That was brutal. I feel bad for him, but I'm still happy it went in.

I just hope that none of the players retire. I always bawl and bawl when someone retires, especially when I like them. There are quite of few of Detroit players that I will be heartbroken if they retire.

i felt the same way about those last 5 seconds. i was on the phone with my best friend who lives just outside Pittsburgh for that last 1 minute. I was quiet for all of that minute before i started to make her ears bleed.

i also believe i heard this morning that the team is pretty much gonna stay intact for next season. so i really doubt anybody is retiring or leaving.

Actually, he will. You either have to play more than 41 games in the regular season or one game in the SCF. And he played in more than 41 during the season.

I had to look at the Red Wings website for the information on Chelios and that was heartbreaking.

Still, they were the better team, and I have faith that the Pens and Crosby will lift that cup someday.

I think that some of the Red Wings will retire.. Chelios and Hasek come to mind. What better way to leave than with a championship (that neither really did much for, but that's not the point..)?
