I have a fascination with his eyes and mouth in that picture... and then the expanse of flesh/neck :thud:
rotflmao! i hope you don't mind the distraction too much...

I also doubt Klien will ever be as good as DC was. What context was it in? i bet he was just being cheeky

parasite33 05-12-2006 12:50 PM

I survived, and I had a motivation to concentrate: if I concentrate, I'll learn faster, and I'll come home earlier and have the time to stare at him.

He looks ultra-seductive.

Klien said, that he was quicker than DC this season and raced better so far. So he thinks, that if Red Bull wants to replace one of their drivers next season, it'll be DC. He also said, that he had proved that he was stronger than Uncle David.

I liked seeing Fernando so happy. The way he was waving at the crowd really made me smile. Throughout quali I was expecting Schumi to get pole so it was a shock when he didn't. I'm still expecting him to win because I think the Renaults will stop earlier than the Ferraris who I'm expecting to be faster.

ETA:
you're probably not all that interested but just incase anyone is: I have an icon journal and it mainly contains F1 *coughs*Fernando*coughs* icons

Fernando was mighty today!! and you could tell how much it meant to him when he was waving at all the fans

Dominant Alonso parades to home win
Fernando Alonso dominated his home Grand Prix and comprehensively beat Michael Schumacher to the chequered flag. Schumacher managed to dispatch Fisichella but could do nothing to stop Alonso's lights-to-flag charge to victory.

Alonso and Fisichella made a perfect start for Renault to lead Michael Schumacher and Felipe Massa into the first corner. Kimi Raikkonen was the big winner climbing from ninth to fifth by the first corner, beating Button off the line, carving between the two Toyotas and muscling around the outside of Barrichello in turn one.

Alonso looked comfortable in the lead with his team mate as a buffer to Michael Schumacher. The Spaniard set about pulling a gap out to the Ferraris and by lap five he was four seconds ahead of Fisichella and five seconds ahead of Schumacher.

By lap 12 Alonso was eight seconds ahead of Fisichella and ten ahead of Schumacher as it looked very much the Spaniard had the race won. Ferrari mechanics curiously emerged in the pit lane on lap 15 but were sent back into the garage by Jean Todt, possibly trying to toy with Renault.

Ralf Schumacher provided some entertainment on lap 16 with a dramatic lunge down the inside of his team mate for eighth position resulting in contact and a damaged front wing for the younger Schumacher.

Alonso pitted on lap 17 with a ten-second lead over Michael Schumacher. Fisichella made his stop on the next lap. Meanwhile Montoya lost control of his McLaren, spinning and getting stranded on a kerb. Full-course yellows were thrown as marshals craned the stricken McLaren away. Ferrari took the opportunity to pit Felipe Massa but Michael Schumacher continued in the lead.

Schumacher pitted on lap 23, a lot later than anyone expected and rejoined the race in second place - ahead of Giancarlo Fisichella. As Schumacher sized up Alonso's ten-second lead Fisichella went off at turn three but kept the car out of the wall, recovering just in time to keep Massa at bay.

The race stabilised with the gap between Alonso and Schumacher consistently around 10-12 seconds until the Spaniard pitted for the second time on lap 40. Schumacher ran another five laps in the lead before making his final stop but he couldn't do anything about Alonso.

After the second round of stops Alonso had it sewn up ahead of Michael Schumacher and Giancarlo Fisichella, Felipe Massa and Kimi Raikkonen and Button as the final twenty laps was a procession to the chequered flag - the only excitement coming when the timing computer suffered a glitch for a lap in which Michael Schumacher temporarily disappeared from view.

Alonso cruised home to his third win of the season and the eleventh of his career. The Spaniard won his home Grand Prix for the first time from Michael Schumacher who despite passing Fisichella could do nothing about the lead Renault. Fisichella scooped up third despite a couple of worrying moments and Felipe Massa took fourth.

Kimi Raikkonen had another quiet race of his own finishing fifth ahead of Jenson Button and Rubens Barrichello. Nick Heidfeld collected the final point for BMW.

OMG! i was soooo happy alonso finally won in his home country!!! i was laughing so hard when he did that happy dance on top of his car! :lmao:

and he looks oh so sexy in that pic where he's inside the car. :in_love:

btw, i'm only doing drop by posts now because my PC at home is broken and needs to get fixed soon...

*MH* 05-15-2006 03:37 AM

You could see just how much it meant to him!! I've seen the start of the race again and the way he pulled away from everyone over the first few laps was amazing. In a way it reminded me of Australia earlier this year where everyone else was struggling to get heat into their tyres and he just went.

he does :sigh: and how tiny does he look next to the guy from Pixar?!?

hope your computer is fixed soon

stolen from someone on LJ:

Alonso's nine out of ten ain't bad
Fernando Alonso's home victory at the Spanish Grand Prix brought him his 54th point out of a possible 60 so far this season meaning he has scored 90 per cent of all available points.

At the same point last year the Spaniard had scored six fewer points.

However, the good news for the championship battle is that Alonso is only 15 points ahead of the next driver in the championship, compared to 22 points last season.

Furthermore, Alonso's performances so far this season have seen him raise his scoring average even further, and in terms of average points scored per start, he is now the fourth most successful driver in F1 history.

Average Points Scored Per Start
1. Michael Schumacher - 5.45 points per start
2. Juan Manuel Fangio - 5.44
3. Alberto Ascari - 4.34
4. Fernando Alonso - 4.06
5. Alain Prost - 4.01

That stat can change though. Jacques Villeneuve at the end of 1997 had 11 wins from 33 races, which means he won a third of his races. He's done over 150 now and still has 11.

I had the urge to make a wallpaper from a certain picture. It's not my normal style but I really like it

1024x768

I've also done one from the Spanish GP result because I know how much winning the race meant to Fernando, and I thought it would be nice to wallpaper it. Again, it's different to how I normally do wallpapers

Er, okay, I'm a Kimi fan, so is it safe to come in here? *peers nervously around*

*MH* 05-23-2006 04:59 AM

 yes, of course :D Lindsay supports Kimi. I like Kimi. We're all perfectly friendly.

glazed.over 05-23-2006 06:22 AM

Yay, hi then!

Lol, it's just that the Fernando in here was a tad overwhelming for a newbie like me; it's all good now!

*MH* 05-23-2006 06:27 AM

 I support Fernando and I get a little carried away with picture posting  I can try controlling myself if it'll help?

welcome  how long have you been watching f1?

glazed.over 05-23-2006 06:32 AM

 No, no, don't stop on my account! I don't mind staring at those pics, either :D

Been watching since Mika Hakkinen started driving. Gosh, those were the days. Started supported Kimi at the start of his F1 career, when he was driving for Sauber Petronas [I'm from Malaysia, so it's sorta like a home thing for us] and probably the fact that he was also a Finn, tee hee ;)

When he moved to McLaren [which is my favorite team, too], it was perfect.

Plus, he's not horrible to look at, is he? :D
