Enjoy the race this weekend everyone! I'll be missing it because of my timezone, the race airs here at 2 AM Monday morning.

Congrats to Lewis, Seb & Kimi. Seb is demoted to P5 after a penalty from Friday. Can this season just end?

I need a full 24 hours to recover. I missed the race because of my timezone but I'll definitely try and catch a reply later. Also our thread title came true.

It was a fantastic race. Lindsay, do you wish you didn't know the result before you watch?

Yeah but I found out right away because I checked social media and F1 is all over my timeline. It's fine though. What happened to Lewis and why is he in P3? Isn't the US GP a Mercedes/Lewis race?

Raikkonen managed to pass Hamilton early on. Hamllton changed tyres early on under the virtual safety car. He gained time doing that but had to change tyres for a second time. Raikkonen had his tyre change later on so didn't need another change. (Also, he was speedy. ) Verstappen had an amazing race and came 2nd.
Yes, our thread title came true. __________________

What? Kimi had a good start? So finally a Ferrari strategy worked. They only had 1 pit stop vs. 2 for Mercedes? That was a good but risky call. Good thing no problems for Kimi and that he was fast. Looks like Ferrari did everything right.
Shame on Seb but at least he finished in 4th and managed to overtake Bottas towards the last few laps. Also DNF for Alonso & Ricciardo. I'll post this here too. Crofty said years then races. Well it did feel like 113 years. __________________

I always hope for things to happen even if they aren't likely.
The Ferrari strategy didn't look good at first but it came together in the end. The last few laps were nerve wracking to watch because the 1st 3 cars were so close to each other! Hamilton tried to overtake Verstappen which slowed them both down a bit which meant I could breath a bit easier! Yes, shame for Seb. He and Ricciardo touched cars on the first lap so that was a bad start for him. Thanks for the video. __________________
