Amid ongoing suggestions that motor racing’s governing body was not satisfied with the 10-second stop-go penalty handed to Vettel for his part in the move, the FIA confirmed on Wednesday that the situation was being looked into again.

A spokesman for the FIA said that evidence would be evaluated next week and a decision on whether or not more action is needed will be made before the next race at the Red Bull Ring.

A FIA statement said: “Following the recent incident at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix in which Car 5 (Sebastian Vettel) was involved in a collision with Car 44 (Lewis Hamilton), on Monday 3rd July, the FIA will further examine the causes on the incident in order to evaluate whether further action is necessary.

“A statement regarding the outcome of this process will be made available before the upcoming Austrian Grand Prix.”

well..

I don't know. I agree it was very stupid of Seb to behave like that but I'm not sure if it's the best decision to punish him any further..while Lewis got nothing although he made a mistake too..if they took away Seb's points he gained in Baku, fine, but if they like took away all his points from this year? I think I'd stop watching F1 cause that would be way too much and it'd be Mercedes domination again, what's the point then? I really hope they forget about all this..

Yeah, I don't think it's fair if they take away all his points from the other races, he's worked hard for that and that's very harsh. I think the reason is some fans are complaining why he only got a 10-seconds stop-go penalty when he clearly displayed unsportsmanlike behavior. And it also wasn't like Lewis' car was badly damaged because of what he did, which I think will be enough to take away his points in Baku, if that was the case. Whatever the FIA decides, I'm just glad they're looking into this because, for me, behavior like this should not be tolerated no matter the circumstances. I think a formal reprimand would suffice but that's just me.

I guess..they should really stop this foolishness. they're not kids anymore so might as well stop acting like it. if they really won't learn otherwise then the punishment should be serious
