T, I said this on your LJ, but it bears repeating ... good luck on your interview Monday. [img]smilies/smile.gif[/img]

Last league-round over here today (too cold a winter to play during it). Rosenborg have run away with the title three months ago (no kidding, either), but my team Bodø/Glimt needs a win to finish second after every pundit picked them for relegation before the season. They've also reached next weekend's cup final against Rosenborg and will play in Europe next season, so it's a successful season even if we finish third.

Table:

Code:
Rosenborg 25 68-27 61
Bodø/Glimt 25 41-28 44
Stabæk 25 50-32 42
Odd Grenland 25 44-39 38
Sogndal 25 41-43 35
Viking 25 43-33 34
Brann 25 42-46 34
Lillestrøm 25 30-35 34
Lyn 25 34-42 30
Vålerenga 25 29-30 28
Molde 25 29-39 28
-------------------
Tromsø 25 29-52 26
-------------------
Aalesund 25 28-43 25
Bryne 25 35-54 22
(Bottom two go down, third from bottom play a playoff against the third team in D1 for the last place).

And the schedule for today's games:

Code:
Aalesund - Bryne (13.00)
Brann - Vålerenga (13.00)
Lyn - Lillestrøm (13.00)
Odd Grenland - Bodø/Glimt (13.00)
Rosenborg - Tromsø (13.00)
Sogndal - Molde (13.00)
Viking - Stabæk (13.00)
After those games at 1 pm, Crewe host Reading at 4, so my day will be filled with football. Gotta love it. [img]smilies/biggrin.gif[/img]

Come on Glimt, Viking and Crewe [img]smilies/mad.gif[/img]

new thread [img]smilies/glow.gif[/img]

T - it's incredible, I succeeded in translating rightly your signature from Spanish to Italian then [img]smilies/wink.gif[/img]
I tried the first time I read it, but I didn't know I was right [img]smilies/biggrin.gif[/img].
These lines are really similar to Italian, though [img]smilies/smile.gif[/img]

I'm too excited for the match Milan-Juve tonight [img]smilies/smile.gif[/img]

S - the scarf is really cute [img]smilies/love.gif[/img]
I don't have it, maybe I'll scan it to make you see it [img]smilies/smile.gif[/img]

Last Nedved's goal is pure poetry [img]smilies/in_love.gif[/img]

Half time over here ... Glimt up 2-0 at Odd, Viking up 3-1 at home to Stabæk. [img]smilies/biggrin.gif[/img] Viking down to ten men, though, but as long as they or Glimt don't conceed two goals in the second half, we've won the silver. [img]smilies/cool.gif[/img]

Yes, probably tomorrow they wiil say Salgado will be in Chelsea next season [img]smilies/bawl.gif[/img] I can´t believe it, but i think is true! There he is goig to earn a lot of money mopre than in Real. He wants to stay here and he is agree to win less money but now there rea some problems about image rights! [img]smilies/rolleyes.gif[/img] I can´t undestand why Florentino is going to let him go to Chelsea! [img]smilies/mad.gif[/img] At the moment no news about Guti... [img]smilies/rolleyes.gif[/img] Hope he´s going to be here during a lot of years [img]smilies/smile.gif[/img]

Raquel, No te he enviado el poster hoy [img]smilies/blush.gif[/img] Perdón!!! Es q me he levatado muy tarde y no he ido [img]smilies/blush.gif[/img] Intentaré enviarlo el lunes, xo ya no te digo nada hasta q lo envie, pq sino... [img]smilies/rolleyes.gif[/img] Hoy partido...

[img]smilies/wave.gif[/img] all

A & D - thanks for the Salgado & Guti updates [img]smilies/kiss.gif[/img]

Not too good news though.. that Salgado & image rights thing? Sad and sorry to say but it sounds to me a bit like he's getting greedy [img]smilies/frown.gif[/img]

Dan - thanks again [img]smilies/biggrin.gif[/img]. I'll need all the luck I can get, so feew free to wish it as many times as you like [img]smilies/wink.gif[/img]

Good luck to all your teams [img]smilies/smile.gif[/img]. That sounds like a damn good season for Bodø/Glimt [img]smilies/smile.gif[/img].

G - good job [img]smilies/biggrin.gif[/img]

A - I can't quite believe it either. Though again I'm not as affected as you as he wasn't one of my favourite players. I liked him, but just not as much as Ivan and the likes..

Well, I hope he's happy wherever he goes. Just not when his new team faces Real [img]smilies/wink.gif[/img] (or HJK or Auxerre or Pool or or or *G*)

I´m anfry with Florentino, because, according with i listened on tv this afternoon, he wants to stay although he is not going to win a lot of money like in Chelsea, but now the problem are with image rights, cause he wants them and Real too [img]smilies/mad.gif[/img] The best new woul be to listen them saying he will be here next season [img]smilies/wink.gif[/img] I wish all the best, but i would like to see here during a lot of yeras, cause, from my point of view he is one of the best defensers aroun the world [img]smilies/smirk.gif[/img]

The interviewer is on Monday, isn´t it? [img]smilies/rolleyes.gif[/img] What can of job? Let me khow [img]smilies/wink.gif[/img]

Nothing much. I just heard about a rumour that there's a New Inter link for Ron [img]smilies/look.gif[/img] I don't think it will happen though.

Btw, Happy Birthday Guti!! [img]smilies/glow.gif[/img] He has the same birthday as my dad!

Guys, can I have an honest opinion? What do you think of Zlatan Ibrahimovic? [img]smilies/look.gif[/img] I just read that Juve may be preparing a bid for him [img]smilies/look.gif[/img]

Yeah, he's been on really good form lately so losing him would be a blow. Especially considering how much Miñambres has been playing lately.. I do kinda understand Perez wanting the image rights too though. I mean the big names - galacticos if you will - gave them, so if he lets another player, who'd be getting a new contract, to get to hold a bigger part of their image rights then he could get an onslaught of complaints from the others.. saying that they should be able to keep theirs/bigger parts of theirs too...

Yep, it's on monday [img]smilies/smile.gif[/img]. The guy who called me from the company (a Finnish real estate agency if you were wondering) said that they might need help building their new website, so probably building it and then maintaining it later on [img]smilies/smile.gif[/img].

[img]smilies/wave.gif[/img] S

Thanks [img]smilies/smile.gif[/img]

Yeah, no need to keep the match [img]smilies/frown.gif[/img]

About R from AS:

Quote:
It is not seen in Italy . After the hint of the president of the Inter of Milan, Massimo Moratti, on a possible return of Ronaldo to the organization that directs, the Brazilian wanted to clear any doubt: "It is certain that the Inter is a club to which I have much esteem to him. There is much people in Milan that she wants to me, but of I do not move here. I am very happy in Madrid and Real Madrid. It is not possible to be spoken of which it will happen in the future, but now my life is aqui ' ".

Zlatan? Err, I don't exactly know why, but I seem to have a not so perfect image of him in my head. I must have seen him get hotheaded or something.. or dive or something..

Which reminds me: HJK won the Finnish cup today, but I'm not all happy [img]smilies/frown.gif[/img]. It went to over time and after the second OT had been played for a fair bit HJK got a pen, but the player pretty much tripped on his own two feet [img]smilies/frown.gif[/img]. Kinda hard being happy about it since you don't know if they'd have won otherwise... Nicely taken pen from Nylund though. The keeper had no chance.

Hey T [img]smilies/wave.gif[/img]

Ahh, web developer..sounds good [img]smilies/smile.gif[/img]

Thanks for that bit about Ronaldo. It does look like he's really happy at Real, made me think it's not quite possible for him to return to Milan :-\

Congrats to HJK [img]smilies/smile.gif[/img]..though [img]smilies/frown.gif[/img] @ the tripping bit..

I must check out on this Zlatan fella a bit more to see if he's worth to be at Juve. The only thing I heard about him is that he's seems to be an egoistic guy :-\

Milan-Juve about to start. Let me get the line-up!

Forza Bianconeri!!

Good luck to Juve [img]smilies/pinkie.gif[/img]

Yeah, egoistic is a good word I think, for what I've heard of him. But I guess if he'd get to go to a big club like Juve, he'd soon realise that he can't exactly act any which way he'd like as he wouldn't be quite so special anymore, not in the middle of all those great players.

Real match should start soon too [img]smilies/smile.gif[/img].

Marca's probl. line-ups:

Real Madrid: Casillas; Michel Salgado, Helguera, Raúl Bravo, Roberto Carlos; Beckham, Guti; Figo, Raúl, Zidane; y Ronaldo.
Athletic de Bilbao: Aranzubia; César, Lacruz, Karanka, Del Horno; Orbaiz, Iraola, Ezquerro, Tiko; Joseba Etxeberria y Urzaiz.

Great to see both Ivan and Becks back there [img]smilies/smile.gif[/img] (Pavon's not there because of the red card in the last match)

Hala Madrid!! [img]smilies/hotpinkie.gif[/img]

Ibrahimovic is an idiot. And far from as good as he thinks he is. When Swedeh played San Marino last month, he got Sweden a penalty which he doesn't usually take, but he took the ball out of Anders Svensson's hands and scored the penalty himself, prompting his team-mates to refuse to celebrate with him.

Anyway...

[img]smilies/biggrin.gif[/img] [img]smilies/biggrin.gif[/img] [img]smilies/biggrin.gif[/img]

Glimt won the silver. [img]smilies/biggrin.gif[/img] 4-2 win at Odd spoiled slightly by the fact that we got a guy sent off (won't miss the cup-final, thank God ... if he did I'd personally rip his arms off for getting sent off when already 4-2 up).

And later in the day ... Crewe 1, Reading 0. [img]smilies/biggrin.gif[/img] Finally we didn't conceed in the dying minutes. Not completely fair, but I'll take it. [img]smilies/wink.gif[/img] We remain 12th, but just four points away from the play-offs. Can it be?

Edited to add the match report:

Quote:
Crewe 1-0 Reading

Crewe condemned Steve Coppell to only his second defeat as Reading manager, with a first-half strike from Steve Jones all that separated the sides.

Dario Gradi's Crewe, unbeaten now in five matches, took control in a lightning start that culminated when Jones fired home his sixth goal of the season in the 15th minute.

But Crewe were made to sweat for their win as Reading poured forward in the second period in search of an elusive equaliser.

Alex tore into their opponents from the off and fired in shots from all angles, with Dean Ashton, Steve Foster, Jones and David Wright all peppering visiting goalkeeper Marcus Hahnemann's goal in the opening five minutes.

And Crewe's early onslaught paid dividends when Jones struck the winner in the 15th minute, converting a pinpoint cross from Justin Cochrane from close range.

Hahnemann did well to hold David Vaughan's stinging 30-yarder before Reading wrestled back some control in midfield, with Andy Hughes prominent.

A subdued Steve Sidwell and Reading captain Adrian Williams let their frustration get the better of them and both were handed yellow cards for reckless challenges.

But as half-time approached Reading at last stretched their hosts, Anthony Tonkin blocking a goalbound effort from Nicky Forster, who then went close twice more before the interval.

It was Forster again who tested Ince from the edge of the area shortly after the restart, while Ashton dragged his effort wide as the visitors chased the game.

Sidwell began to see more of the ball, while Graeme Murty - a 56th-minute substitute for Newman - saw his 18-yard left-footer saved by Ince.

But still Reading pressed. Murray drilled in two 20-yarders, one blocked by Richard Walker, Ince holding the other and then Ivar Ingimarsson saw his goalbound effort deflected for a corner.

Boss Coppell sent on Shaun Goater for John Salako with 12 minutes remaining and the big striker headed just wide from Nick Shorey's cross.

But although Sidwell went close with a rasping drive from 20 yards Crewe held on to take the spoils.

Crewe: Ince, Wright, Walker, Foster, Tonkin, Lunt, Sorvel, Cochrane, Vaughan, Steve Jones, Ashton. Subs: Bankole, Smart, Barrowman, Rix, Billy Jones.

Reading: Hahnemann, Newman, Ingimarsson, Williams, Shorey, Murray, Hughes, Sidwell, Harper, Salako, Forster. Subs: Murty, Watson, Goater, Savage, Ashdown.

Referee: E Ilderton (Tyne & Wear).
And the table:

Code:
1 Wigan Athletic 17 13 33
2 West Brom 16 10 32
3 Norwich 16 8 31
