I would guess Germany will be in the World Cup final but of course we'll have to wait and see.

My guess is Germany vs. France in the final.

Of course I always have a soft spot for Portugal too. (And the other three national teams I support. xD)

France, Germany, Portugal, Spain, Italy and England (in no particular order).

I think I mentioned this transfer season is looking sad and I was right. Yesterday it was announced that one of my favorite players (James) will leave Real Madrid to Bayern.

It's probably a good move for him because he didn't get much playing time at Real but it's still sad.

I was just looking at some of the Premier League roster moves this summer & it seems like almost all the clubs lost far more players than they got in return. I'll miss Jay Rodriquez on Southampton, but they lose it seems like just every player on their club at some point it seems. Unsure what sense it makes to move the #1 goal scorer in the league which is what Everton did, but at least for them they get Wayne Rooney I suppose.

Transfer window boggles the mind it seems.

All the speculation about who's going where and then the surprise transfers that seem to happen out of nowhere.

I'm still sad about James but at least they've seemed to welcome him to Bayern with open arms. I just really don't want to face Bayern in the UCL next season because I don't want to root against James. xD

How exactly does the transfer window work?

Well, the transfer window is a specified time where clubs can buy & sell their players. FIFA regulates there should be generally 2 transfer windows during a 12 month period. So for the Premier League their transfer window started on June 9th & ends on August 31st. Then they get another 1 on New Year's Day that last for all of January if I'm not mistaken. Now in MLS which of course doesn't play much in the winter their mid-season transfer window is from July 10th to August 9th.
