I`m glad that you like the new thread Tracy.
Also i`ve just added you to the list Raemus. It`s great to have another fellow Gooner on the team. I`m also hoping that the Gunners can bring their A game later today at Sunderland. __________________

Here`s an update from today`s matches.
First of all in the Premiership, we got a big surprise as Southampton upset Manchester City 3-1. Big win for the Saints, who had an outstanding effort to get a huge home to help in their fight out of the danger zone of relegation. On the other hand, this was a disaster for the Citizens, whose hopes of repeating took a big blow with a very lackluster performance along with some questionable selections by Roberto Mancini. Arsenal pulled out a 1-0 win at Sunderland. Good win for the Gunners, who had a gritty performance despite being down a man after Carl Jenkinson got sent off with a second yellow card. They got some excellent play from Bacary Sagna and Wojciech Szczesny, who lead the strong defensive effort for the Gunners to hold on to a crucial road win. Also Tottenham defeated Newcastle 2-1 and Chelsea routed Wigan 4-1. Meanwhile in La Liga, Cristiano Ronaldo got a hat trick to power Real Madrid to a 4-1 win over Sevilla. In the Bundesliga, Hamburg routed Dortmund 4-1 and Bayern Munich routed Schalke 04 4-0. Lastly in Serie A, Juventus defeated Fiorentina 2-0, while Napoli and Lazio played to a 1-1 draw. So that`s the story from today`s matches. Tomorrow, Manchester United look to increase their league at the top of the Premiership table against Everton at Old Trafford, while Aston Villa will host West Ham. Also in Serie A, AC Milan will visit Cagliari, while Inter will host Chievo Verona. Over in La Liga, Barcelona will host Getafe. __________________

Outstanding performance from the boys last night. Just magnificent. Didn't let City play at all. Again, how Rickie Lambert didn't get in that England squad is baffling. He proved yet again that its not just his goals, but his build up play, his intelligence, his dedication- I mean did you guys check out the run he made that led to Hart's mistake and Steve Davis's goal? Magnificent stuff. Ridiculously underrated. I would have given Man of the Match to Jack Cork last night though. He silenced Yaya Toure, and he was just first to everything. Though Puncheon, Hooiveld, Boruc, Davis, Schneiderlin all had MOTM worthy games. But Cork and Lambert were sensational.

My condolences on West Ham`s loss at Aston Villa Tracy. I caught the match earlier this morning and the Hammers played like they were stuck in mud compared to the much faster effort from Aston Villa.
Also i forgot to congratulate you on the Saints` big win over Manchester City. Manchester United cashed in on their opportunity earlier today as they defeated Everton 2-0 to increase their lead at the top of the Premiership table to 12 points. Meanwhile in Serie A, AC Milan was held to a 1-1 draw against Cagliari, while in La Liga, Barcelona crushed Getafe 6-1. So that`s the story from most of today`s matches. In the last match of the day, Inter is leading Chievo Verona 3-1. Coming up this week will be the start of the first leg of the round of 16 for the Champions League. Obviously the marquee match will be the clash of the titans between Real Madrid and Manchester United at Santiago Bernabéu Stadium on Wednesday. __________________

Well Arsenal`s chances of silverware took another blow as they were upset by Blackburn 0-1 at the Emirates. This is an all too typical result for the Gunners. They dominated possession for much of the match and should`ve been up 1-0 at the half if Gervinho had put the ball in the net on that 1 on 1 late in the first half. As for Arsene resting some of the starters like Theo for much of the match, it was understandable that he would do that with the Champions League match against Bayern Munich, but at the same time, i think that he should`ve brought them in to start the second half. I don`t know what else is there to say other than the season is slowly going down the drain for the Gunners with today`s pitiful result.

Holy crap, we almost embarrassingly messed it up... going into injury time in the semis of the second leg of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy at 0-0 after winning the first 3-0, we managed to conceed first an own goal and then another goal to lose 2-0 to Coventry on the night. Still won 3-2 on aggregate though. Wembley!
