Dont you think that in order to celebrate the beginning of the Euro 2008 we should open a new thread which would only deal with the competition?

I'd love a separate thread we had that for Euro 2004 and the last World Cup too and it was so much fun

The title of this thread is excatly how I feel. Season is over, and my Chelsea is still without a manager. I really hate Roman for sacking my Jose. The most stupid thing he's ever done.
But well, we'll see....

Well Mourinho wasn't exactly delivering the champagne football Abramovich demanded, did he? Although I think Abramovich was probably too idealistic, if he had wanted fantasy football he should have appointed Rikjaard or someone right off Still, I really hate Mourinho and Abramovich - the whole of Chelsea really - so I'm really not the best person to talk to Sorry about that.

Gwen - Thanks . I'm sure they'll work out eventually.

Heh, I think I'll end up having the tv on for every match as the kick off times are ridiculously good (I have plenty of time to get home and the late matches aren't too late) *g*. But most of the worrying will be for group D, though yeah, France's group will get more than its fair share of that too *g*.

Aww, you definitely need to get a proper Arsenal shirt with nothing to complain about!

Here it's mainly Manu with plenty of Liverpool thanks to Hyypiä.. And a lot Juve for some reason.

Yeah, don't think I missed much there. Kenyon doesn't even deserve a comment. Eh, crap, that was half a one, but anyways...

Ronald can just stay where he is, please! I hope it's just him wanting more reassurances or whatever (read: money?) from Manu..

Also: I have to admit I'm still a bit eh about the games now - I'm saving most of my "oh my god, here we go again" for Monday (France) and esp Tuesday (SPA-RUS)

Now I think I'll get myself over to the other thread, before this comp decides to ry something funny again

You people in Europe suck, the timings of the matches here are at 12am and 2.35am thankfully it's the holidays and as I am jobless that means I'm going to turn into a night owl for the next month or so

Exactly! I'll keep a lookout and have the white away jersey on the side, just in case. Pah, same here - seems like those two teams are the biggest in the Premier League (United due to their trophies, Liverpool for their decorated past). Any Finnish legend in Juve that would prompt the large amounts of Juve shirts?

I think that's a good enough comment as any. As for Ronaldo...

Hiya Karen. No problem. I expect this thread to be rather dead in the Euro period - probably will be T and I having random conversations with a bit of football involved for a while

Christ that's awful . But hey, at least you've got the vacation timed great - mine starts just as the tournament ends, so I'd have missed loads of the matches.

No, I don't think there's ever been a Finnish legend in any Italian team. I think there's only two of ours down there right now.. Finnish players just rarely end up there..

Or maybe the only comment . Exactly, jeez, in last night's match the camera stuck to him like glue even - and especially when - he wasn't doing anything . Though I have to admit that didn't bother me quite as much as the commentators, because those two were just ridiculous. Like in the very beginning, Ronaldo managed to fall down in the first minute or so, and all the commentators could go on about was how great he is... which we haven't heard before, no sir.

Karen - what Gwen said sounds about right, but do come and post here too! My net connection being what it is (half dead that is), I'll probably babble half as much here, because the other thread moves so fast, heh.

seems Didier Drogba is about to leave Chelsea to go to AC Milan... I really dont want him to go there (I love him playing with Malouda at Chelsea). He is such a wonderful football player, my second favourite after Torres

Oh, lookie - we finally signed a goalkeeper! BBC SPORT | Football | My Club | Crewe | Crewe confirm signing of Legzdins.

And we're seemingly hot on the trails of Leeds-striker Anthony Elding - he didn't play much for Leeds, but he was scoring for fun at Stockport (even as much that the manager pretty much blew a gasket when he was sold), so I'm thinking it can be a good signing too.
