| Ah, I see. And I don't think he's going to Real either - United won't let him go so easily, why would he want to move now that he's the king of the Premier League? Not to mention that United have just done the Double (  ) so United are currently one of the best teams in the world. It's probably his agent trying to meddle or something - I hate agents. And sorry to say this, but I hate the way Real and Barca do their business, always tapping up players subtly and making comments. Both clubs have been after Cesc for two, three seasons now and I make nothing out of it but it's still irritating. Hee, OK. I've watched a few episodes of Pushing Daisies but I just haven't really been able to get into it for some reason  it just doesn't hold my interest the way House or How I Met Your Mother (my two most favourite shows) or even Bones or Life (I like them both although they can be a bit silly). And a lot of people watch Top Gear even though they don't drive - it's the host, right? | I doutb anyone likes the way Real, Barca and to be frank, alot of other teams too, do their business, but it's one of those "what can you do" things... I had a bit of trouble getting into it too, but after a few eps it just clicked somehow. This after the pilot had been sitting on my comp for a fair few weeks, heh. Ooh, House I didn't even mention, did I? Love it too, though that too sort of comes and goes between like and love. And Life? The cop whow with Damien whatshisname (crappy memory.. Lewis? ).. I've pretty much made myself forget that since it's been ages since there's been new episodes, but once the new season starts, I'm there  . And yeah, Life can be a bit silly, but I think it handles the balance between silly and deathly serious usually so damn well.As for Top Gear, I don't actually care for Clarkson quite that much (likes winning too much for my taste *g*), but Hammond and James, yeah .And the install didn't..  . Managed to wipe out some 100 GB of data including all my software installation files and music - so that was about 40 GB of music gone three hours after I ordered that damn ipo  . And I couldn't even get the software downloads started once I'd installed XP, because all the drivers were gone too and my damn comp need this one driver before it can connect to the net - but since that was gone.. :rolleys:. So spent the next morning dashing to my parents' place to download that and nab some software and back only to have to stop before I could get the installations etc done, because I had this bachelorette party I had to go to. So in the end I got back home at midnight and fought about three more hours to get things in order.. Jesus, what a lovely weekend it was  . So probably no wonder why it took a bit to answer, heh. And now that eveything works, I got the Civilization IV I ordered - only to find out it won't work - christ... Makes me seriously wonder why I bother buying games when it's always the ones I buy that just won't work. Or at least not without some (surely) illegal patches . | True enough, I suppose. And by the way, T, do you have any Real jerseys or any jerseys? It's a bit random, I know, but I happened to see an away Arsenal jersey and it's actually reasonably priced (for a jersey that is). It's a boys' L, which will fit a lot better than the current one I have, which is a mens' M (it was a present by a few people who obviously do not know girls' sizing ). Unfortunately it's the white away jersey for the season that just ended, and while it looks nice as a jersey (you can see it here) white really isn't Arsenal colours and I remember having some objection to it when it first came out. But I'd like to have a jersey I can actually wear... ah, such difficulties Yeah, it's really random but I'm just talking to myself I suppose. Plus I need to be more on topic anyway!Ah, OK. Yay, I'm glad you like both shows. And yes, I like the way they balance the Zen stuff and the action/plot. Plus, I like the chemistry between Damien Lewis (?) and Sarah Shahi. Zola goal-scoring record isn't fabulous, but he's 6'3" and I think he'd fit well with the pacy Maynard, if we can keep him. | You're right, I wasn't I saw the highlights though, I enjoyed myself a lot - Drogba sent off, Terry and Ronaldo missing. All I needed was for Cashley Cole to have missed as well, that would have made things perfect. Oh well, it was good enough I guess.Good luck with that then Dan fingers crossed! Funny, they're the first team I ever supported, even before Arsenal - I got into football through World Cup 2002 and for some reason I picked Germany, even though they were dull as dishwater back then (no idea why I picked them). | Well let's hope France and the Netherlands advance from Group C (D?) then I don't really like Italy but I do like Andrea Pirlo so. As long as he has a good game I suppose that's good enough - I too was hoping Scotland would get in rather than Italy after all! Go Croatia I think they're going to have a surprising number of fans actually. All the anti-England brigade will support them. I don't know if I'll watch them though, Eduardo's out (DAMN Martin Taylor, the brute) and long-time Arsenal target Luka Modric just signed for Spurs Portugal, er, you won't see me supporting Cristiano Ronaldo  Still, it's going to be lots of fun - better than this dearth of football anyway. | Christ, colour me shocked - it actually works (albeit slowly but these days I'll take what I can get).. So.. the day after tomorrow? Still haven't got a clue who I think'll win it. Of course I'll hope for Spain to actually manage something though the coach doesn't deserve it (idiot). Otherwise, Russia should always do well, if you ask me. France too of course, though they seem to have a few too many players I don't care about on the team these days, but still. Italy no, thoug I am a bit sad about Cannavaro, but that's just because he didn't suck terribly quite _all_ season.. The Scandinavians I'll root for a bit too and a fair few others too.. still, it'll probably be Spain, France and Russia and the others far behind. Maybe. I just don't know, heh. I'll probably only really know after they start scoring and only then I can really go "okay, jumped up and down when so-and-so-team scored, so I guess it's them" *G*. Wouldn't be the first time that happens. Gwen - I've got two Real jerseys . The first one's an 00/01 season home one with Figo's name & number on the back. That one was from an almost 50% sale - hence the name I wouldn't have picked . The other's an 01/02 away jersey (the centennary season one with no adds) with Helguera's name & number. The ridiculous thing is that as an idea, I love the second one a lot more, because when Real reeled me in back in 2000, it was with their away wins against Manu and esp Bayern in the black away shirts and those are the one they wore in the final too.. so I've always love the black shirts - granted it doesn't hurt that I love the colour otherwise too *g*. But the really ridiculous thing..? If I wear one of them, it's probably always going to be the white Figo one - because the other fits like a frigging potato sack . It's a size or two too big, even thought I'm fairly sure they're both labeled L But still, definitely get one . Just get one from a local store if possible so you can try it on before. Both of mine were from online stores since stores here don't usually carry Real shirts with anything but Beckham's (still) and maybe Raul's name. Though even the Rauls are rare. And as much I love the guy, I want a Guti shirt first. Eh, no?  . Naah, most stuff works.. pretty much everything but the game and the store can't really do anything about it. I've tried a fair few patches but no luck so far.. Probably I'll just find a torrent that's gotten good comments and download it, hmpf.On an CL sidenote: I've managed to completely miss all the celebrations - haven't even seen a pick of the captain (don't quite know/remember who that was either) the trophy.. | Congratulations, then and I don't quite understand your game problems, so: I hope whatever it is works out soon! I like that thought as well - I'm quite the same as you, really although it's usually Germany, then Spain and Sweden (because my sister likes them both and I usually end up watching those two countries' matches with her), the Netherlands (because my friend likes them and they do play relatively nice football). And the big matches as well, so I'll probably end up watching everything from Group C Yeah, I understand. The Arsenal jersey that I have is from the season I started watching, 02/03, and I like it but it's impossible to wear since even my dad can wear it. And the one I found, I'm sure it fits OK but I've never liked the white away strip because white is Spurs colours, not Arsenal colours... oh sigh. Why our jersey problems!Oh  we get them locally but at these really random places you have to dig through to get. And most of them are United jerseys, colour me shocked Yeah I try to avoid buying online though, you can never be sure of the sizing. It's a bit hit-and-miss. Same. I saw the United plays mob VDS and I turned off the TV. Don't worry, I'm sure we didn't miss much. Apparently while United were led by Sir Bobby Charlton, Chelsea were led by Peter Kenyon seriously, that just shows the club - tasteless, classless personified. (This is the same Peter Kenyon who defected from being United's CEO to Chelsea's when Abramovich came in if I'm not wrong, and now declares himself a lifelong Blue - I'd use the rolling-eye smilie again but I'd be abusing it by this stage). Peh. Yeah avoidance here is easy enough though, which is something I love.I CAN'T WAIT FOR THE EUROS TO START! I can only take so much of transfer rubbish. I need proper football. PS.
