Yeah!

Exciting games tonight, especially Roma-Madrid.

And an apology came from Ranieri today. Still an idiotic comment to make about Frisk last night seeing as it was raining bottles, coins and whatnot in Mestalla and only luck kept it from hitting someone in the head.

Yep, of course the Real match being really important to them means there's no chance of it being on here . We're getting Pool - Olympiakos. At least there's the Eurosports summaries. I'll just have to remember to tape them.

Tsk tsk

You won't get more complaining from me since from what little I've had time to read about it, it wasn't exactly a breathtaking match from Real . I kinda feel like a bastard for not being happier that they won.. But I guess last season showed that it doesn't matter if they're not in the CL - they won't these days be able to concentrate any more on la liga either way . I'm getting way too pessimistic about things. Anyone want give me a good kick to the head?

You don't have to ask me twice. Seriously, I think it's slightly elitist of you to not get happy about progessing in what arguably is the biggest club competition in the world just because it might diminish their chances of winning a domestic title, considering that fans of some teams (like me ) would give their right arm and leg just to be in the first qualifying round of the Champions League. One day Real's excessive spending of money they don't have is gonna catch up to them (for an example, see Leeds - four years ago they were in the Champions League semi-finals, today they're behind Crewe in the Championship), and then you'll look fondly back on these days.

Congrats, Sarah, once again. I still say you should share pictures, though.

Thank you . Though I feel you missed the point there (well, or not, because now that I read the post again, I saw that I cut myself of before I started rambling again..) - The main reason why I'm not over the moon is because I think they'd be better of in the long run if they botched up a season so royally that they'd actually get rid of Perez and his ways. Them winning la liga isn't what I want the most right now, I mentioned the la liga winning in the post to point out that even if they had been kicked out of the competition, they'd probably not have managed to concentrate on the league enough to win it this season and I hate that whole thinking that the CL is the only thing that matters. Which is in part why I'm currently having a bit of a spat with my beloved team and all .

I should've posted the whole thought process, but it'd be scary ( I mean who wants to know how my brain works? Certainly not me) and I ramble enough as it is .

I do understand where you're coming from (just have to think of Finland..), it's just the way I see it, everything now seems like a temporary fix. And the more they win, the more Perez will think that's the way the club should be run. And that's scary beyond my imagination.

I'll echo Dan's congrats, S . And the demand for pics .

And now I'll be off to watch the latesy ep of House (Hugh Laurie goodness )

Perez will never leave, and the only title Real Madrid will be able to win this year is Champions League and that is not going to happen. Just thought I'd clear things up.

Seriously though, this ain't RM's year, and quite frankly unless they put on a sparkling performance and play football like they're suppose to next half of the season, I would be very disappointed if they won the league on a bunch of bearly 1-0, 1-1 results. I'm hoping for Barcelona this year, personally. Their kind of football deserves a title.

R Madrid is a nice team to follow, because the fans can always be sure they will eventually bounce back. If the team is bad enough the board will just whip out the wallet and buy a matchwinner. No problemas.

Giffarna won't make it to Champions League in my lifetime, unless we find a Zlatan and manage to hold on to him.

Perez is a lot older than I am, so there's a good chance I'll outlive him . Granted he's a crafty bugger and will probably find the fountain of youth or something of that sort.. or not, but if not, then he'll haunt us

Though I must say that the more people say something like that _will_ not happen, the more I get a feeling it might . It's kinda the same as if I get a feeling they'll win something, then they definitely qwon't, but reversed. As mentioned, my head is a scary place .

T, keep the faith. If you're lucky Perez will die of old age within 30 years. All current squad players will have retired/died as of then too. A fresh start!

Oh, our tifo-group won another 50.000kr from Svenska Spel (main league sponsor), for the same tifo they won 30.000 for from Canal+ earlier. 80.000kr (about 8.770 EUR) for tifo organization next year. I can't wait.

Weeeell, the getting rid of Perez sounds good, but all the others? Hardly. I mean I'm all for cloning Iker & a few others *G*.

That's great

Good grief I'm happy that it's Friday! One more week of school. Well, probably more like 2 days since my work ethic doesn't quite cover 2,5-3 hours of travelling for 4 hours of school on Friday the 17th when I don't have anything on Wed or Thu... Still, weekend (+Farscape) = a happy T.
