What are some moves you're happy you made? What are some moves you're disappointed you made (or didn't make)?

I just looked at the boxscores for the early games and saw one of my latest additions, Erik Bedard, get a win against Toronto (sucked it was against my team, though). He threw 8 innings and gave up 1 run and struck out 12. Nice!

Another player I'm happy I got is Cliff Floyd. When I was looking through the list of available players I was surprised to see him still there. He's one of the top hitters in the NL (.386, 16R, 7HR, 23RBI). Hopefully he can sustain this type of production for the entire season.

The only move I'm disappointed I didn't make was picking up Brian Roberts. That boy is putting up impressive numbers: .367, 8HR, 27RBI, 23R, 12SB. Damn you sf3000! Lucky bastard!

How's Bret Boone for Brian Roberts sound?

I’m only 1 ½ games back in the standings, so I’m pretty much happy with my team.

The moves that I’m happy that I made:

1.) Picking up Derrek Lee in the late rounds. He has put up MVP-caliber numbers thus far. He has single-handedly carried the Cubs’ offense this year. And, to think, I was *this* close to taking Paul Konerko instead of him.

2.) Drafting two unheralded closers in the late rounds. Jose Mesa and Chad Cordero have both exceeded expectations and rank among the NL league leaders in saves.

3.) Picking up Miguel Batista off the waiver wire. Not only is he SP/RP eligible, but he’s kicked butt as the Blue Jays’ closer this season. With him, that makes three quality closers that I picked up off the scrap heap. Not bad!

Moves that I’m not happy with:

1.) Drafting Nomar Garciaparra in the third round. I took a major gamble that he would have a breakout year and it backfired in my face. Based on his spring training numbers, I thought he was due to put up numbers comparable to his Red Sox glory days. Unfortunately, he’s become fragile and very susceptible to injury. I was hoping that wouldn’t happen.

2.) Drafting Victor Martinez at catcher. The guy hasn’t done squat with the bat this season. He was supposed to be this up-and-coming star at his position, but I have yet to see it. He better start getting his swing back, as I’m tired of watching him put up zeros across the board.

3.) Taking Mariano Rivera so high. I still consider him a top-three closer, but the Yankees have played like crap this season. Therefore, he doesn’t get many save opportunities. My junk relievers have completely outshone him.

4.) Drafting Randy Johnson in the second round. Again, this has to do with how poor the Yankees have performed this season. The Big Unit has put up the K totals, but not the wins and ERA that I was expecting.

5.) Not picking up Brian Roberts. I thought his hot start would just be a fad, but that apparently isn't case.

I'm tempted to also add Juan Pierre to this category, since he isn't providing me with any stolen bases this year. With him, Pods and Soriano, I should OWN that category. These guys just aren't putting up the numbers yet.

I`m very unhappy with the start my team has gotten off to so far. Right now i`m just trying to find the right mix to get it going.

Best moves:

1. Getting the Jones(Chipper and Andruw). Chipper has been the most constant hitter in the Braves lineup and Andruw has really gotten going lately.

2. Getting Travis Hafner in the later rounds. He has been a homer binge lately after a slow start.

Worst moves:

1. Drafting Ryan Drese. I should`ve known better than to get any starters for the Rangers.

2. Drafting Coco Crisp and Wily Mo Pena. Coco has been very disappointing so far and Wily Mo has been injured lately and been out of the lineup so much that i had to put him on waivers along with Coco.

Good to see Ive generated so much jealousy with my pickup of Brian Roberts. Funny thing is, I wasnt even going to pick him up till one of my worst picks, Magglio Ordonez, went on the DL. Thank you Maggs for being a fragile little bitch and allowing me the opportunity to pick up one of the hottest bats in the game.

Other than that, me team has done pretty much what I expected. Shingo has been shaky and might lose his closer spot. Prior has come back and tore it up (except one start). Pedro Feliz was a late round steal. Plays almost every position and is one of the league leaders in RBI. I was also a little surprised to see Miguel Cabrera put up the BA he has. I knew he had power but the guys hittin 366 right now.

I wasn't going to pick Jon Garland because I remembered he had struggled somehow but I had no idea at that point who else to pick and I needed a pitcher. It has worked out wonderful! Today he got rocked for 6 runs in 5 innings...he still got the win. That's how hot the ChiSox are right now.

Ups and downs. still early in the season and one strong week can turn a team around.

anyway, im havin a little dilemma on my roster. Ive got 2 strong 2B's and am losing pitchers to injury left and right. So... anyone in need of a 2B send me an offer. I want a pitcher and would like to trade Giles, but Roberts would also be available for the right price.

Alright i`m glad that you accepted. I think it`s a good trade for us both. You get some pitcher and a member of your favorite team and i get another Brave on mine. How long do we have to wait for the trade to become official? BTW i finally won a week, beating Chris` team 6-3-1.
