Fan Forum NFL Fantasy Draft Thread: The Draft Has Begun!

Welcome to the 2005 Fan Forum fantasy NFL draft! We will get proceedings under way at approximately 12a EST. In the meantime, please do not use this thread to make selections any earlier. I’m posting this now just so we don’t have a bunch of people making threads later tonight. The rules are listed below. Good luck! Let’s have fun with this.

Fantasy NFL Draft Rules:

The first round occurs on a first come, first serve basis. Afterwards, draft selection occurs in reverse order each subsequent round.

24-hour rule - If twenty-four hours have gone by and you have not made your next selection, we will go ahead and auto-draft the next highest rated player on Yahoo’s list. This is done to speed up the draft process. If you know you likely won’t be around to make your next selection, it would a good idea to PM a list of players you like to someone you trust so they can draft for you.

No repeat picks! Please try to keep tabs on who everyone picks. Otherwise, you might select a player who has already been chosen and log off. That would hold up the draft process.

When you step up to the podium, have the ka-ching and big smile ready to go!

My watch says it's now 12a EST.

Whoever wants to make the first pick, feel free to step up to the podium.

Oh, what the hell?! I’ll go next. I would normally wait longer, but with such a big group, I’ll take my guy now.

With the second pick of the first round, the Grrrlacher Goons select LaDainian Tomlinson.

*The crowd goes wild*

That's three years in a row. LT is my guy!

Okay, gotcha.

Daunte with your first pick, huh? Even without Moss? Sounds like you are expecting big things from him this season. I expected Manning to be the first QB taken.

Ah, what the hell ... high risk, high reward. Give me Priest Holmes. Because I know that if I had the chance to take him in the middle of the first round and he put up monster numbers, I'd end up kicking myself all season, and I don't want that.

ETA - Cin, you post your pick here... after the draft is completed and everyone has 18 players, Kathie will insert them into Yahoo.

ETA again: Hopefully, there's gonna be more of this this season:
