I've never really despised any players but they were some that I really disliked:

- Bill Laimbeer (Detroit Pistons)
Really hated how he and other Pistons used to beat up on Jordan everytime they'd play against him. The whole team would entirely try to guard him and since they couldn't, they'd beat the crap out of him. If the flagrant foul was in effect back then..the whole team would have been ejected.

- Xavier McDaniel (NY Knicks)
I think he watched too many Pistons game from back in the day and picked up alot of bad habits. He talked alot of trash and rarely ever backed it up.

- Kobe Bryant (Lakers)
Just something about this guy that never appealed to me, I admit he has game but that's about it for me. Plus it gets on my nerves how he tried to be "too much" Like Mike last year.

Pat and I are on the same wavelength. What a surprise, huh? I agree with EVERYTHING she said.

So as not to sound repetitive, I'll mention a few other names:

Shaquille O'Neal: I just read a recent NBA book in which the author listed him as the best player of all time. WTF? I totally disagree. However, despite his arrogance and propensity to make asinine statements, I do recognize that Shaq is one of the most dominant players in NBA history. He came into the league relying mainly on his size to dunk the ball, and has since then expaned his offensive arsenal to include a plethora of moves. No one can stop him.

Barry Bonds: I don't really care for his surly attitude, but there is no denying that he is the greatest baseball player of our generation. Perhaps even *the* best to ever play the game. It's incredible to witness the type of numbers he's put up at his advanced age. Very impressive!

Glad I am not in the same room as you I am a huge Knicks fan since I was three years old. Ever since I was 6 I can remember going to there games. But ya I know a lot of people dislike um.

NY Mets. - I sooooooo cannot stand this team. I really dislike them. Yet they do have some good players and have had bad luck with Injury this past year with Piazza, Mo Vaughn, and others. They could do a lot better. But Still I dislike the team very much.

Barry Bonds - Well again. There was just something about him I never cared for and he never really struck a cord with me but he was one great Ball player.

I would not agree with him being the best ever. Babe Ruth is still the best ever ball player but Barry is up there but not quite.

Larry Bird - I never liked him. Nor do I like the Celtics but I again have to say that man was talent out on the court. A Legend but it don't mean I like him.

In all fairness everybody that's hyped up when entering the NBA has always been compared to Mike I mean you don't think LeBron is the same way? I mean he wears a number 23 no less.

But yes I wish they'd let these people create their own gimmick whatever that would be. I do agree on the other two choices though.

Pete Sampras---The robot was never high on my list, but there's no way I could ever deny his talent.

Same goes for Agassi and Roddick. I'm not a big USA fan when it comes to tennis. lol

I will forever hate the New York Yankees and it really irks me that they make it to the World Series almost every year... I hate Steinbrenner and most everyone that becomes a Yankee I start hating too.

Lots of Love!

Umm, the Best is spelled Ted Williams.

Unless, of course, your talking pitching, in which case it's spelled Satchel Paige.

Opinions, opinions.

But I'd have to say Ted Williams too... Babe is definitely right there with him though.

Straw? Really? I don't care for him, I guess I did in his San Fran days but ehh... then he got into drugs again and played for the Yankees. I don't think he deserves to be on a "best list," but that's just my opinion.

I agree that Lebron was probably the most hyped to be the next Mike but the point I was making about Kobe was that, Bron' doesn't try to be like Mike. Yea he may have his number 23 but if I remember right that was his number from back in his high school days of playing and that's the only thing he's got. Whereas Kobe really tried "too hard" honestly...it just got on my nerves.
