You got a point there, I think they purposely chose to try it out against the West Indies for a reason, still it is gonna be very interesting to see the turn out....especially if it doesn't seem like WI really put up a fight.

I think that the Ashes day/night test will have a great atmosphere, I think that those matches are always a sell out anyway & I think everyone going will probably expect it to have more of a party atmosphere, so it should be interesting to see! & as you said, it will make it easier for us to watch

plus the tv audience in the caribbean has a chance to watch their team play in the middle of the day as opposed to watching in the middle of the night. Undoubtedly day night test matches are designed so they will suit the european timeslot regardless. Eg the ashes used to be on between 12am and 6am, aint nobody staying up / getting up for that

I do think that day/night test matches are a step in the right direction, I think it's gonna be it easier for a lot of people to follow their teams a bit better

Maybe not so much when theres matches in england, especially for the timezones of australia and asia and all the action from england is on in the middle of the night

For what its worth, my friend from the pacifiic west coast feels like europe has an alien timezone. she cant compute that its mid afternoon in the uk when she wakes up. but she can tell that australia is only a few hours behind the pacific northwest (despite it being a different day/ if it was the same day it would be the same day for a few hours)
