New thread was needed.

Just the Fiesta, Orange, International, and GMAC Bowls, and the BCS National Championship left.

Hawaii got stomped by Georgia in the Sugar Bowl 41-10.

And USC routed Illinois 49-17 in the Rose Bowl, proving that the Rose Bowl should drop out of the BCS if they're not going to have the best possible matchup or at least hold two Rose Bowls(one with the traditional Big 10-Pac 10 matchup and one for the BCS).

Right now, West Virginia is holding onto a 20-15 lead over Oklahoma in the 3rd quarter.

I totally agree about the Rose Bowl. Illinois clearly had NO business being there. Missouri belonged there. The funny thing is the preseason rankings probably had it right all along with having USC & LSU ranked 1 & 2.

Big Ten once again proved that it's a joke & without having a conference championship game they have an unfair advantage over those major conferences that do. They play less games & therefore increase their odds of having a team go undefeated or close to it in this case.

That and most of their teams stink. They couldn't stop talking about Ohio State had just one loss, yes because they didn't play anyone and they lost to Illinois.

not an LSU fan, but I am glad they won. I can't stand Ohio State.

So, who do you believe should be # 1 starting next year, I think LSU - Georgia or Missouri.

Yeah so I obviously don't belong on this board seeing as how it's all bashing of OSU, but I live around Penn State so I'm used to that...

Neither LSU or OSU should have played in the BCS to begin with... LSU lost 2 games so they shouldn't have been given the opportunity over others, and OSU didn't "ask" to be in it... they finished their season with a nice #7 slot... it's all the other dumb ass teams that lost and caused them to move up in rankings; it's not like they had any say over being in the Championship.

No one was bragging OSU up to win that game; they were the underdogs, and they SHOULD HAVE lost... this was their REBUILDING year. They lost like 8 key players in the draft.

You want to make fun of them, fine; bring up the Gator Championship game... that's the one they SHOULD HAVE won and blew.

As far as the Big 10 being a joke; get over it... there's many factors in that debate.

I have nothing against Ohio State. My beef is with the system & the fact that it rewards teams who don't play as many games let alone challenging games. If teams played an even schedule the rating system would be more accurate.

I know what you're saying; I agree with that... but it's annoying when people say OSU sucks because of who they play; it's not their faults-- they don't get to pick the teams that they play.
