Hey guys. So, Arizona Sundevils guard Alonzo Verge. Jr. scored 43 points of his team's 56 total & they lost to St. Mary's.

I mean, come on. The final score was 96-56. What do you think about this? The score was 51-17 at halftime. Verge Jr. made 18 of 29 FG attempts & only 1 of 6 3 pointers attempted. Odd stuff.

Some sad news everyone. Lute Olson & John Thompson II have died. I didn't watch college basketball as a child much if at all, but did get to see & hear Thompson back when the NBA was on TBS I recall. This was quite a while ago. He was clearly a great basketball mind. Lute Olson certainly was well who coached 2 of my favourite players Mike Bibby & Michael Dickerson to a National title while Thompson won the 1984 men's NCAA National Championship in basketball. Tough times. Wish their familys well.

John Thompson helped Allen Iverson (my second favorite player after Jordan) so much. AI gave such a sweet tribute to John on his Instagram. He thanked him for saving his life.

Great comeback by Gonzaga vs. B.Y.U. today. They will be the #1 overall seed in this year's N.C.A.A. Men's Tournament. Terrific 2nd half performance by the Bulldogs. 88-78 is the finall score of the W.C.C. Championship game this month.

After all too long wait, March Madness is finally back!

In fact here is the bracket for the men's tournament. BTW it is gonna be very strange having an NCAA tournament without Duke and Kentucky, which is the first one that both blue blood programs missed the Big Dance in the same year since 1976.

Oral Roberts won vs. Ohio St. today in overtime by a score of 75-72. Another upset just about complete is in the Midwest region where Oregon St. is leading Tennessee 69-56 with 46 seconds left on the game clock.

OK. Oregon St. won vs. Tennessee & is currently leading Oklahoma St. 44-30 at halftime. Gonzaga dominated yesterday. Also, Oral Roberts won vs. Florida by a score of 81-78. Houston did the same
vs. Rutgers by a score of 63-60. Arkansas won vs. Texas Tech 68-66. Loyola Chicago won vs. Illinois 71-58. Baylor did so vs. Wisconsin 76-63. Syracuse won vs. West Virginia by a final score of 75-72 today.

And we got another upset today as Oregon routed Iowa 95-80. This game was more lopsided than the score would indicate. The Ducks really sped up the tempo in the game and the Hawkeyes wasn't able to keep up. Also this game continues the Big Ten's woes, while the Pac-12 remains undefeated.

I needed to record the Gonzaga/Oklahoma game today & Jalen Suggs was inexplicably shoved by Harkless while Gonzaga was on a fastbreak late in their game. Flagrant 1 was given to Harkless, but if that was streetball I think punches would have been thrown after that. It was the 5th foul of Harkless in that game. Drew Timme scored a career high 30 points for him in this game.

Yeah. Oregon St. lost yesterday, which around here that's big news since they haven't made it that far for quite a while. I started watching this S.C. vs. Gonzaga game later than it started & a referee collapsed on the court. Hope that he ends up OK certainly.
