I`m very happy that Caroline won the title at Luxembourg toward the end of the season.
She played very well in that tournament and ended the year on a great note by finally winning a title. Also Caro recently named Thomas Hogstedt as her new coach. I like to get everyone`s opinion on this. Personally i think that this is a good move by Caro since Thomas has recently done some good work with Maria Sharapova in the last 2-3 years. __________________

Caroline made her debut in the new season at Sydney earlier this week. She defeated Julia Goerges 3-6, 6-2, 6-4 and then was defeated by Lucie Safarova 4-6, 6-7(7). Disappointing loss there for Caro, where she blew a 3-0 lead in the first set and then blew two set points in the tiebreaker. Obviously there's some work for her to do before the Australian Open.
However we did get some much bigger news with Caro off court as she and Rory are now engaged. In fact here's a pic of Caro's engagement ring along with a pic of her and Rory. Congrats to Caro and Rory. Once again i have to say that Rory is one of the luckiest men alive. __________________

Caroline began play at the Australian Open tonight and she routed Lourdes Dominguez Lino 6-0, 6-2.
Good win for Caro. She looked pretty sharp for the most part in the match, which is a great start for her in Melbourne. Of course Caro showed off her ring to everyone. __________________

I missed it. Do you think she'll have any trouble vs. McHale?

Well Caroline`s run at the Australian Open sadly came to an end last night as she was upset by Garbine Muguruza Blanco 6-4, 5-7, 3-6.
What a disappointing performance from Caro. She got off to a good start in winning the first set, but sadly wasn't able to keep it going as she was overpowered by the big hitting Spaniard and blew some break chances in the last two sets. This is such a disappointing end for Caro in Melbourne. I really felt that she had a good chance of making a nice shot and had the draw for it, but sadly she wasn`t able to come through in last night's match. Obviously there's still a lot of work for her to do. __________________

We have some fresh news with Caroline. She has decided to fire coach Thomas Hogstedt after three months. I have to say that it's disappointing to see Caro go through another coach and having an early end to the partnership again, which has greatly hindered any chances of her turning her game around. However she is expected to announce a new coach soon.

Hopefully she already has a new coach lined up.

Big news! Rory & Caroline have ended their engagement. According to Rory, he isn't ready for all that marriage entails.
The Roland Garros draw will be available on Friday. __________________

That's sad news. Hopefully it won't affect her tennis negatively.

I`m also sad about Caroline and Rory splitting up. However i hope that Caro can channel her emotions into her game at the French Open next week.

Well it didn't happen at that tournament, but she is playing well this tournament in London. She hasn't lost a set yet this week.

I`m also pleased with how well Caroline has been playing at Wimbledon, including her 6-3, 6-0 win over Ana Konjuh.
She got some tough resistance from the young Croatian early on, but turned it on midway in the first set and dominated the rest of the match, winning the last nine games. Overall this was a pretty good performance from Caroline. I`m very pleased to see her playing with more confidence lately, which is a much needed sight. __________________

It's great to see Caroline playing so well at Wimbledon after her early exit at the French Open.
For a long time I've had an irrational dislike of Serena Williams but all that dislike has melted away after seeing/hearing about the friendship between Caroline & Serena and how supportive she has been of Caroline in the wake of the split from Mcilroy. __________________
