Because it's in the top 3 or 4 of my list of favourite sports, and it doesn't have a thread of it's own.  An OP may come when someone more graphically inclined than me post. 
Possible initial topics for discussion: This Friday: Golden League from Rome. What are you looking forward to there? And what do you think about Oscar Pistorius, should he be able to race in the Olympics? Speaking of the Olympics, any chance for an Usain Bolt double in the 100 and 200 meters?
