He's been pretty impressive so far. I hope his good performance continues. I'm think since Rafa is out. his chances have greatly increased

yea. i mean he still has to get by fed. but he's been so impressive on the clay lately. i do increase his chances of beating him at an grand slam!

Well Andy`s run at Roland Garros came to an end today as he was defeated by hometown favorite Gael Monfils in straight sets.

I have to say that this isn`t much of a surprise there. Gael played very well and put his superior clay court skills to good use throughout the match. In fact he even outaced Andy in the match. Andy didn`t play bad. In fact he had some good opportunities in the match, especially with the break chances late in the third set, but unfortunately he couldn`t convert them. Plus Andy was rattled mentally when he complained about the increasing darkness. I`m disappointed that he let that bother him. He should`ve known better that the officials wasn`t going to stop the match at that time. So this ends Andy`s time at Roland Garros. I`m very proud of him for finally making it into the second week over there.

Hopefully Andy can build on this heading into his favorite part of the season on the grass courts with Queen`s Club up next for him.

A little disappointing to go out in straights (though I expected him to lose going in) but still, nothing for him to be ashamed of, overall.

Really, a great result for him.

I agree. Plus Andy`s great run in RG is a nice bonus for him in the rankings where he`ll put some distance between himself and Gilles Simon and Fernando Verdasco. Obviously there will be some work to do to catch up with Juan Del Potro, but Andy has a good opportunity to narrow the gap during the grass court season.

it was a disappointing match =[ but he had a GREAT run in roland garros and he should definitely be proud of himself! i know i am! he made it to the second week in his toughest tournament! that's a very good sign for things to come later in the year!

I wonder if he's going to England from France or if he's coming back to the US for awhile. Hopefully he just goes there and puts in a little extra time on the grass...

Earlier today, Andy returned to singles action at the Queen`s Club with a 6-1, 6-4 win over Kristof Vilegon. Good win for Andy.

I`m very pleased with how sharp he looked. Obviously Andy is very happy to be playing on the lush and beautiful grass at the Queen`s Club. This is a good start for him.

Anyway here are some pics from today`s match.

I like the blue look at the Queen`s Club, although i like to see it toned down.

Yeah, I don't think it would bother me if it wasn't so vibrant.

Softer or richer tones would look better and not be so BAM! BLUE!!!.

Well i have no problem with the color around the court just as long as they keep that beautiful grass court. There is not more beautiful sights in tennis than a fresh grass court, except for Maria Sharapova, but that`s a different story for a different thread.

Anyway Andy will be back in action tomorrow as he will take on Lleyton Hewitt. Obviously this will be a tough match, which i think that Andy will really need to come out strong in. I really hope that he can keep up the good play tomorrow.
