i get so intense watching him play and desperate to see him win.The isner loss hurt me bad so i can't imagine how Andy is feeling.Had been waking up in the middle of the night to watch his matches (don't know why but i have to lol) and walking around like a zombie the next day.I wouldn't have minded doing that if he kept winning.Not to be.I hope he has a really good last few months of the season.Luckily for him ,another chance at a slam is only few months away.

Btw does anyone else think that tie breaks must remind Andy of the one he blew against Federer in the 2nd set that he should have won at Wimbledon.All year his tie break record had been great .I don't think he has won that many tie breaks since that Wimbledon final.

Same here...he was the main guy i wanted to win the US Open...now we have to wait until next season....

Now all i have left really is Serena....and maybe Nadal since Roddick is out

Yeah i`ve noticed that Andy hasn`t done well in tiebreakers since the epic Wimbledon final against Fed, going only 7-6 lately. I really hope that Andy can find a way to get out of this funk soon.

BTW since we`re near the 300 posts limit here, we need to come up with suggestions for the title of the next thread.

I'm thinking -Because his fighting spirit is second to none.

Seems fitting after the Federer epic and even his last match against Isner , found a way to force a fifth set even on an off day.
I think that is one of the main reasons why i'm such a huge fan of his.He never gives up so any suggestions along that line would be great for next thread.

Just wanted to inform everyone that Andy will finally make his long awaited return to the court at the China Open. Here are the singles and doubles draws. His portion of the draw looks pretty favorable. Barring any kind of disaster, it`s likely he`ll reach the semifinals for yet another meeting with Nole. I really hope that Andy will do well in Beijing this week. This is a great opportunity for Andy to get the stretch run off to a good start. Later tonight, Andy will play his first round doubles match. Hopefully Andy will do well in it.

Earlier this morning in Beijing, Andy made his long awaited return to action in his first round doubles match where he and Mark Knowles defeated the team of Lee and Yang 6-3, 6-4. Good win for Andy.

It`s nice to see him deliver a solid performance in his first match back.

Andy will be back in action tomorrow for his first round singles match where he will take on Lukasz Kubot. I hope that Andy can put together a pretty good performance against Lukasz Kubot tomorrow.

Well Andy`s run in single came to a shocking early end as he was upset by Lukasz Kubot 2-6, 4-6.

What a disappointing result for Andy.

He got off to a slow start. I thought that he would turn things around in the second set like we`ve seen him do most of the time this year, but sadly that wasn`t the case as Andy played one of his worst matches in a while. I don`t know what else is there to say other than this is a bad start to the stretch run of the year for Andy. Hopefully he can shake this loss off and rebound in doubles.

Yeah i agree with you Bianca. We haven`t seen Andy play a bad match like this in a while. Hopefully he can find a way to get it back going in the right direction in the next tournament.
