IMO EP would have won if he had done cleaner exits and as for ugly people can't win figure skating The only reason JW didn't get on the podium is because all the people in front of him had technically superior program (which cause against the guy own point about skater not being rewarded for technically harder stuff).

Well, I have a sharpened Risport in my room, I have two actually... so that guy better watch his words... & for his information, it's not the Risport that is sharpened, but the blade & there doesn't exist such thing as a Risport blade as far as I know. He better get his facts straight before he starts criticising!
& The moves get marks. Of course there's a little space for the judges' interpretation, but it's not like the judge has that much of a say in the end.

Team USA will break Germany's record no matter what happens tomorrow against Canada in the men's hockey gold medal game(Team USA has 36 medals now and will have 37 medals tomorrow).

Team USA will have the most medals, though Canada did win the most gold(13 to Team USA's 9).

Canada tied the record for the most gold medals set by the Soviet Union in Innsbruck 1976 and matched by Norway at Salt Lake 2002) and can break the tie with a win tomorrow.

Edit: Canada also broke the record for the most gold medals by a host nation(previous record was 10 by Norway at Lillehammer 1994 and matched by Team USA at Salt Lake 2002).

Canada will also set a new Canadian record for most medals at a Winter Olympics with 25 so far and the 26th tomorrow(previous: 24 at Torino 2006).

I was so happy to see Canada win the gold in men's curling today, they really deservd it. PM Stephen Harper (who I generally don't like) was there at the game, and afterwards made a funny little joke about Canada "beating the pants off of" Norway

And I'm happy the women got silver. Some people were disappointed they didn't get gold, but I think silver is a huge achievement considering this was their first time playing in an international tournament.

What a golden day for Canada. Gold in Snowboard PGS, Men's team pursuit, Curling and a bronze in 4-man bobsleigh.

Also guaranteed a medal in hockey tomorrow.

Even though we didn't "own the podium" in medal count, we certainly owned the top of the podium plus we have more medals in this games than we did in the past Winter Olympics in Torino! So a definite improvement. If we keep funding our athletes, I'm sure the "Own the Podium" dream will someday become a reality.

I'm no longer as skeptical over Own the Podium after seeing Canada winning so many gold medals. (I just wish they'd named it something other than Own the Podium though.) I can't wait to see what Sochi will have in store for us, and the rest of the world as well.

Hockey later today, and I'm so freaking nervous. I know both teams will give it their all, but I hope Canada can come through and win that gold medal.
