Thanks, Sam!

It is the BEST feeling ever, April. Am busy with cleaning, chores and just getting ready for CNY and my minor furniture/appliance shopping spree but it's all good. I love the excitement of the holidays coming up. I have a few gatherings with family and friends planned as well, so that'll be fun.

My mom loves it when she has time off. She had major time off for recovery from her surgery but is back at work now. That poor woman wants to retire so badly.

That’s always the tough part. My dad is finally retiring in March, but I doubt that he would if he knew he didn’t have some money coming in soon-ish.

Oh, that's soon, Amelia! What are his plans after this? My parents were a lot more financially stable in the last few years, so now my dad is comfortably retired (finally). They were pretty poor when they got married though.

Sounds like they worked their way up in the world then, Sarah. That’s cool.

My mom and dad don’t see eye to eye on money a lot. I think she would love to save more money than they actually do, whereas he prefers to spend.

Yeah, they were and my dad's the oldest so he was supporting his family to boot.

I'm the spender in the family ... everyone else is thriftier than me.
