Good, if you forget why you were in a weird mood, then it must not have been too bad.

So Amelia, after break, are you done student teaching, or will it continue?

My mom had a surgery yesterday, you guys, and it went well.

Good to hear that, April. How long is her recovery time?

It could be up to 2 months. I’m going to need to help her out with a lot of stuff, including cleaning, which I’m just not very good at.

I have one more semester of student teaching after this, so I'll be done in June basically.

So it’s basically a full year of student teaching, huh? Wow, that’s intense. Will you be applying for teaching jobs this upcoming semester?

Thanks for the well wishes on my mom’s recovery, guys. It’s going to be a bit of process for her.

Yeah, when we get back from break is when I’ll start looking for jobs and start applying. My mentor has already heard of a few opportunities so we will see what happens.

It’s hard for her to have to rely on others. She hates it. So I feel like this recovery is going to be frustrating for her, but I keep telling her she has to take it easy.

Oh, Amelia, it’s going to be an intense semester between job applications and student teaching, but I really hope you’re able to find something. Are you going to be certified for high school or both junior high and high school when you graduate?
