I got mine back in early November, if I remember correctly. Usually it's effective for me, I get minor colds still sometimes, but not really the full on flu for the past couple of years. *knocks on wood*

Usually the flu shot is effective for me, too. I don’t think I got one last year and I regretted it. But I feel like the shot this year was just not effective. This is definitely worse and more persistent than an average cold.

At this rate, I will have to take Monday off, but it sucks having to do sub plans.

Hopefully by the end of Monday you will be rid of this flu bug, April.

If you're still dealing with nausea, ginger ale and crackers and soup are key! And honey/lemon/hot water for your throat!

My mom went and got me some chicken noodle soup. Might try that. Honestly, food in general just sounds disgusting right now.

Yeah, generally that's how I am, I get so fearful of eating anything if I have a stomach bug, last time I had it my mom legit wanted to take me to the hospital, but I didn't let her

Poor April. I can never eat when I’m sick. I’m usually on a diet of hot tea, cough drops, and medicine. It gets so bad that I can’t even smell someone cooking.

I have the worse sense of smell in general, so when I'm sick it just gets even worse.

I just put a roast in the slow cooker about 3 hours ago and I’m seriously regretting it. I called myself getting ahead of the game for dinner tomorrow and now I realize that this roast will be done at like 4am.

Oh same here, especially after throwing up. You just don't feel like eating anything after that and are worried that any other food will trigger it again.

Good for you April. Anything is better than nothing. My stomach was so weird. I also do the saltine thing, it helps. It’s not really food food but it puts something inside my body especially when I’m taking medicine.
